some late season observations:
-- i am amazed and impressed Coco did not come on "to curse God and die" for getting such a devastating injury. this has been a tough year for someone used to success, and he has handled it well.
-- i think the Big 8 has a monopoly on ambitious teams this season. UK has already made its roster moves, and positioned itself for the advance into the NBBA. with its most recent move, Senecaville, announces that UK can expect a challenge.
-- in the Great 8, good teams have all but announced "wait til next season". Lake Merritt will be sorely tempted to translate Nielson into two very good players, and Redbull has been devastated by injuries that has limited their progress. The Bruins keep chugging along, but have yet to make a roster move that would push them definitively past the finals. those new limits on GS transfers has had the effect intended -- the window to move probably closes this next week.
-- having played Redbull twice in a couple of days, i must say i am impressed with that squad; when Inter Kac gets all his players back and he is on top of GS., they will have nasty depth. age is a problem, however.
-- my heart goes out to oriolekid, who lost a heartbreaker against Window Lickers. if he had won, then he had a decent chance of staying in DII. now he needs a serious break or two . . .two games down with four to play.
-- fwiw, i think Ron Swanson CTing assured him of the playoffs. CTing Lake Merritt was more of an ambush.
has anybody formed any opinions on the new Game Day Planning?
