Why it is called "outside box and one" then? It seems that this "box" have to be outside. I played and watched basketball only in kindergarden in style "run for the ball", so I dont quite get it.

but even in europe where Zones was legal all the time, the box and 1 is very uncommon at professionell level. I saw it maybe 2 times for short stretches and i have seen a lot of games(and i believe it was the same coach)

So maybe you find your example in 2% of the games with Murat Dedin on the sideline *gg

But as i said, in Buzzerbeater there are some more inbalanced rosters so that it makes sense to use it and maybe the BB searched a counter part for the isolation offense who should focus on the star of the opposing team and stick with the box and 1.

Yes many strategies are worth considering and some aren't. If someone suggested that all five players play defence in the front court, it would be absurd. There are reasons for that. There are reasons the box and one doesn't get played and would rarely, if ever, get even considered in professional leagues.

In BB, though, I can see it as a strategy that might work in some situations.

I still dont get the difference of box and one strategy versus man to man. Well obviously if you expect your opponent to play isolation with desired player, you could set in that place your best defender anyway and he would take care of him.

So I kind of dont get the real value of this strategy, except the difference (2-2 zone).

What is your point? Rashard Lewis would be respectable range at worst, I don't want my inept reange PF or Center jacking up 3s... The game engine needs to be smarter.
