מספר פוסטים שהעלתי בדיון על הטקטיקה של בידוד בפדרציה שאני חבר בה:
"Is it possible that the name is divided?
meaning that outside or inside means the equation of skills (offensive level of the player minus defenders defensive level ) that will be used in the isolation that is created for all players that are playing with a small increase to shots taken to the ones that have the most advantage against their defender?
That would explain why in outside isolation for instance the main shooters and scorers are inside players while in inside isolation the main shooters and scorers are sometimes outside players..."
"I simply think that if the name would interpret exactly what the tactic does- the game will become less interesting- that i think is the guideline of the BB's in naming tactics... they are intentionally misleading...
As for the use of assists - i am not sure it is contrary to the nature of isolation play - take for example a big guy isolated in the paint - he still gets passed by a teammate - he is isolated but that does not mean no one passed him the ball (just look at the way sofoklis shcorcianidis in maccabi tel aviv in the euroleague is played for instance).
And since the point of the defining word before isolation (inside, outside) doesn't mean the role of the player but his match-up to his guard- there is no issue with having assists even in outside isolation (that we tend to look at as a guard dribbling his way to the basket or going up for a jump-shot).
As for shot distribution- from my observations- they are distributed in a way that includes:
1. all starters get isolated on their defender for about 10-12 shots (roughly).
2. the one with the biggest mismatch gets 15-20 shots (roughly).
meaning- all players get isolated throughout the game- the best match-up gets a bit extra shots (so , no single isolation like in patient- but still isolation)."
אני חושב שזה ניתוח די דומה למה שכתבת...
