So they say they are going to do something about the tanking issue. I really hope they do!!

Anyone got any ideas about what they might do?

I don't have a problem with teams tanking, but I do have a problem with teams being able to buy up players before the playoffs/relegation series.

There's a simple solution to this: players must have played a minimum of 8 - 10 games / been on your team a minimum of 4 - 5 weeks to be eligible for playoffs. This prevents teams from buying up $200k - $300k salary players for two weeks as hired guns are the finals.

This and the random cup draw are the two biggest flaws in BB. Unfortunately they happen to be rather major flaws.

I bought a player today - do the minutes he's already played for his previous team this week count in the weekly minutes for him? (I'm assuming they do, as they appear in the weekly stats for my team.)

My proposed solution:

Prevent players from being sold or purchased after the All Star Week.
Increase the Player Salary Floor to 1.5x what it currently is.

disagree but close

they can still be bought & sold but arent eligible 4 playoffs

x 1.5 is high in abbl that would be $400k floor, but maybe x 1.2would be good

There's no need to prevent sales, just making players ineligible for playoffs would be sufficient.

The reason I want to prevent players from being bought and sold is simple.
By making it so that people can only buy in the first half of the season, I suspect that prices for players will rise.
So the market will increase substantially, back to how it was many seasons ago.
