yeah i do understand that there's many things to consider, but what i wanted to say with that example is that it's not impossible that 250k won't perform better than a 500k player.

But the best players in every single position are generally the players with the best primary skills, right?

im not sure it's always right.

The point is that, the best players at some position(mainly big mans) are not affordable by the best teams because of salary formula, without losing competitivity

this again implies that the best players are the highest wage players, and BB-Patrick was saying you should separate this.

Now,you can say that you find this situation good or bad, explaining why with your arguments, but you can't escape from this starting point

i don't know it's good or bad.

look at fg% and rebounds. 250k player defended and rebounded better than 500k player. both teams played same defensive tactics. don't just look to points, consider defense also.

We don't know the stamina value of both players, that has a huge influence on the individual ratings too - so a discussion based on a single event won't take us anywhere...

When the best and highest salary player coincide, you can't just separate this. It's a non-sense

It's the nucleus of the thread,I don't understand why you feel the need to post in this thread if you don't want to talk of this argument

and this also proves that we cannot say which are the best players, as no one here knows it exactly. so why we are arguing here, if creators of this game already said which players are the best? we should base our opinion on what we are told from creators. unless someone have done reverse engineering on this whole game and knows exactly what BB's do know.

I think that the main problem is that once you have any skill overtrained, its simply impossible to beat no matter what. So if there will be fighting team with multiskilled players against monster one, and will have worse primary skills like shot and defence by (lets say) 5 levels, will not be able to do almost anything. Other skills are supporting these primaries, but if there isnt anything to support, doesnt really matter that your players can be faster better at passing or whatever.

So maybe Im wrong, but I think that salary increase kind of compensate this problem.

no it doesn't. because with this salary you lose skills on other players in your team. you have one, but another team has four, more valuable players. who's the best? one man team, or 5-10 man team? who's the best players? the ones that give you inside defence or those who give you inside AND outside defence? who will be the most valuable employee (real life example) the who can negotiate very good, or the one who can negotiate and do marketings and count, and be consultant, and knows more than you?

i see players with suggested position center but outside defence at level prominent or prolific with passing strong - sensationial, going for millions while players with same inside skills but at atrociuos to inept level at outside skills, 2x sometimes 3x the cost. i question do you all know who's the best players? the ones with inside defenfe, shot, rebounds, or those who assist, do not get turnovers, scores more (because of JS), get some trouble in defence, but again scores more (because of JS)... whos the best? i have a center who is top scorer in a game because his JR is good, and he hit threes, and its only at respectable. what if he had strong? i could sell him 1.5kk easily, because one skill up, that doesnt hurt his salary.

oh. i forgot you. can you trully repectfully say that creators of this game, are fools and they created something that they dont really know, and you know it better? you should just open a thread in bugs forum, cause you think it's a bug, that highest wage players are the best. face it, if it was true it would be a bug.
