I'm trying to slip ahead of Iwen in the draft standings so I'll be losing to you by as much as possible. Feel free to bang it inside against a couple of Lucky Fans defending at PF and C ;)

i was chatting with koop and if all goes badly this could be the confrence from hell next season

Koopasaurus going for it again
Razzle Dazzles tough and going for it
DownUnder Thunder already one of the top 3-4 teams
Yarra Park Bears even deeper
Ratman no longer tanking
Kynlala Knights no longer tanking
a relegated abbl like Lara Giants
and me the Melbourne Goldfish

ever seen a list like that? we really hope dt or someone can beat meaty

Just to set you straight Goldfish, I spent the money on Goodes and Abundis in preparation for hopefully winning my upcoming relegation matches and I still have exactly the same draft position that I had before I bought those 2 blokes ..... and I most certainly do not have deep pockets but this season will hopefully set the platform for some success in the future thanks to some very tidy trainees on the list.
..... and now you know my strategy ...... sorry for pulling your pants down last match ;)

lol no worries

it is just a very scary looking division

next season if you and kynlala are both looking to advance as well as those other powerhouses then *wow* i guess there may be tougher division 2s but i know peeps in most of them and they all seem easier than this

and i will be sad if my perfect record of making the playoffs every single season is broken, but at least i didnt get relegated

but i sure cant afford to buy (and pay) a couple of 100k dudes any time soon so just not sure where to go next season, dont really want to just hang around 5th-7th each season struggling to hang on

lots of teams in this division have been playing for around 10 seasons with many in d2 and even some in abbl - they must have massive fanbases and income, this is our first in d2 and it is very different playing with the big boys

if this is the big boys then wat are the ABBLer's?

lets just hope our division doesnt get an ABBL demoted team... but instead get two div3 newly promoted teams.

The regular ABBL teams are the boys you call in when the going gets too hairy for the standard heavies

given you are the weaker conference and have been holding us back (ha ha), I think that if these changes occur as predicted, we will become the strongest div II league.

From memory, last season we were rated only 3rd strongest (which is offensive i think!). surely we are higher now?

Some of those top div III side are looking good and, if they have the money to spend, we will definately have a top comp. After a quick look, III.6 has a few good teams but also a couple good ones in III.10 and one in III.2 that will definately strengthen any league. It seems like some of them has grasp the importance of a good balnced D. Should be interesting to see just how good these teams will be.

how come you always mention teams with balanced D.. without knowing the players attributes how do you determine if they have good defense or not? lol

u said the same thing with my team.. and i reckon my defense sucks compared to some of the teams in our league.

aah yes, div III.2 is my old stomping ground (and Holtz too). that team, Da Fat Boy Slim were there when i came up and have been gradually building...his young Centre is very good (with ATG potential), though hasn't kicked on as quickly as i thought. His D will be very good as that is what he specialised in a few seasons ago...he just needs some more all-round offence.

I will also be interested to see what Quinn Kings does - div III.10 as he has the other NT PG (Bin Awang) but was relegated from div II last season. he should come back up, but faces some stiff competition from the other conference.

there are a few more impressive d3 teams

3/12 has South Victoria Menstrals (38671) #55 in oz with a lot of good peeps including Taree Darcy ex-u21 dude
3/14 has slam! an upcoming powerhouse going 21-0 even against 2 ex-div 2 teams jerries and melbourne heat (playing since season 4)
3/2 has Da Fat Boy Slim with duff duff and Vis Maior organiser of the tea cup - dont let his record fool you, he knows what he is doing
3/6 is my old league and has spawned me, victorian allstars, chelsea seagulls and chumunga watermelons in the last 4 seasons, still got probably 6-7 well run teams but this season VictoriaMages should doninate
3/15 has maggots 21-0 who play in my pl and are also rock solid
3/10 has probably 5 good teams but this season 2 ex-div2 teams go at it, quinn kings and the pwnage, either will be very comfy in d2
3/11 has rampaging marmots who went 22-0, 22-0, rebuild, and now 19-2*, if he can cut out the occasional brain fart he will kick ass

sure there are more but they are the ones i know of mainly from my involvement with the pl
