Trivial. It used to be that PGs of salary $9,999 or less were retired and $10,000 or more would become free agents. Now it is $11,999 or less that retire and $12,000 or more that become free agents. The gap is bigger for centers but it doesn't matter, it isn't the players in this price range that were causing the problems.

Whats the solution to make it balanced?

Do you reduce the weekly salary of top end players, so that they become more valuable?

Do you reduce the number of players that become available as free agents?

Look Im pretty left field, but I pose this question to the GM

Why dont the people who run the game, prepare a survey (on survey monley or the like, so that the data can be quickly extracted) and allow all the Managers the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas ????

Possibly include a bit of a preamble as to what their utopic BB world would be like and explain the dangers of the balance of the "game engine" tilting too far one way of the other.

Just a thought

I don't know mate. All I know is be prepared when suggesting ideas because some of these BB managers are vicious. I know when I first started playing (Sep '09) I made a suggestion for being allow to add polls. I got ridiculed by GMs and experience players. I also got 1 balled in the old balling system. After a couple years later the BBs added it and now people happily use it...

hahaha that entrepreneur is going to end up very broke and very sorry...

You know what they say... if you get knocked down you just have to get back up and try again.
You can fail ten times but you only need to succeed once to reap the rewards.

But in this case... I really feel I should just cut the loses and move on to a new plan.

Cause no matter what happens there will be winners and losers. The market is not something we can predict but there are trends based on the demand and supply of players.

Its hard to make a decision on these things because there are just so many opinions flying around and you can never keep everyone happy.

Take Black Label Society as an example. Direwolf is one of the best managers probably in the world. Look at Grgur Fatur a brilliant player who was second in MVP voting last season in the ABBL.

Transfer 3/27/2011 15 Purchased from KK Stomorska for $ 3 333 333
Transfer 2/20/2012 19 Purchased from Black Label Society for $ 530 700

Obviously he has aged from his prime but at age 30 he is hardly washed up. If one of the best managers in the game is making $2.8 million losses in single transactions something dramatic has happened to the market.

PS: Why didn't Bryce "predict" this one as well?

I don't really know what happened in that Fatur trade, but Fatur is worth more than 530k atm. Maybe Direwolf listed him when least managers were online?

Not blaming Direwolf, just really searching for answers why no one else bidded on Fatur and allowing him to go so cheaply.

Even if he was listed at a bad time, it wouldn't make 2+ mil difference. It is a reflection of how the market has crashed in the last 6 or so months and currently heading towards ruining the game. As it stands, with players being so cheap to buy, there is no incentive to draft and train. As someone said earlier or in another thread (yes I'm too lazy to look for the post this early on a saturday morning ;) ) you can now buy an ABBL standard starting 5 for probably 2.5 mil ..... 2 seasons ago you'd only get 2 starters for that

or maybe he just got ripped off when he bought Fatur? haha It sure seems that way when looking at my players estimates.

Player value will always be based on supply and demand...obviously there is way too much supply at the moment...imo they would be better off letting all players from bot teams disappear and scrap free agency
There is no demand for players with 180k salaries because the only teams that could afford to keep them (safely) are top division teams...maybe they should bridge the financial gap between the top and lower divisions a little so everyone wants similar players? Or as someone else said, scale back the wages of players...at least then there might be a point to getting players with hall of fame or all time great potential

It looks like its easier to afford better players for weaker teams...but it really is just a trap for lower div teams to buy someone they cant afford...and yeah with the market how it is any promotion bonus is too much...

Think I've just repeated alot of what others have said :-P

I cant even sell a 130k PG for 1.5m where a season or 2 ago, a PG like that would be worth 2m. now TL estimate is only 1m or so, oh how the market has crash.

hopefully the market for Sfs dont crash as well as i am just starting to train them.
