yep, not sure what the BB's are hemming and hawwing about on this issue.

Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 470 400

15k showed up last night after i sold all my players. there's no need to overthink this.

Individually tanked games can probably be reduced as well if they reduce HCA effect (the last two seasons home teams have been winning 70% of games, compared to 60% in the NBA). I tried to win almost every road game last season which was prob not the best choice in hindsight.

It turns out, that the overall away win % was not that far off from "real basketball", but that of course includes tankers, all kinds of divisions etc.

That swings both ways, as there are tanked home and road games.

One tanking team losing all their home games can reduce the overall home-win % for the league by ~5%. Last season we had 2 (airballers and edh wolves) tanking almost the whole season, dragging the percentage down to 70%.

forget about the fact that when most d.I play an away game against a half-decent team it feels like climbing Mt. Everest.

which is hard to do when it feels like that and statistically its twice as difficult to win a road game at this level compared to the real world/nba.

Is this where I complain about 3 straight road league games? or 2 away TV games in the second half of the season?

I don't think you can base tanking completely on the results. Would not part of tanking be sitting a significant portion of your team's payroll?

Option 3: High randomness, low(er) HCA. Now you get roughly the same winning percentages as you have now, but you have increased the degree of randomness, which means more complaints by user about "unexplainable" games.

I feel like they tried to make certain aspects seem like High Randomness. Enthusiasm and GS. But then you started to see managers just manage games/minutes better. The problem is that Enthusiasm and GS both heavily affect defense/rebounding more so than offense. If everyone has good defense, than you'll have less randomness.

On the flipside, we can't have as much randomness as a regular NBA season, because we have almost 1/4 of the total games that they do. The randomness will balance out a bit more over the course of a full NBA season compared to ours. Do we also want to change sims in the playoffs? Having high randomness effect a single elimination tournament just seems unfair.

Besides that, if the BB sim could get our eFG% to be more like the NBA's, then I feel like we'd have more opportunities for surprise wins/losses.

I'm not sure that explains why the NBBA seems to run at a higher rate. I'll calc more seasons, but IIRC this has been run on prior seasons and it's consistently higher in this league then real life.

Do we also want to change sims in the playoffs?

Home win % is higher in the NBA playoffs though. Maybe this becomes a function of effort, the higher the effort the lower the randomness.

Sounds to me like the answer could also be more games in a season (and hopefully, less time in between them)!

When I played this baseball sim: (http://www.csfbl.com) there were 8 games simmed a day!

Pigs will fly first though
