well as ive said already, answering the question 'having another crack at the championship' with a 'im training this season' response is not actually answering the question.

Possible answers to that question could be
a) Yes
b) No
c) Maybe, ill wait and see
d) Id prefer not to say.

So im going to take the above response as d) id prefer not to say

To which, now gives us the green light to all speculate wildly as to what your actual actions will be!

I think Hadders is going to go for it. With Corio languishing so far, and with Hadders already aging roster (and one of them up for sale already) i think he will use up his pot of gold to buy a championship team.

My primaty focus is the training of my 3 trainees and I will not enter into any conjecture to the contrary.

You have made it perfectly clear that that is what you are doing, yes we realise this, we aren't stupid or blind, maybe with the exception of the plebs im not sitting with here at Water Corporation which makes me stupid by association.

The problem is - is that thats not the answer to the question that matt asked, which I have already stated several times. Im not asking you to back down from your stance or change your tactic, im just merely pointing out that you seem to think that responding to Matt's question with your 'training' response is actually answering his question - which I will now kindly point out that it is not.

its a simple lesson in the English language which I will now present in Double Jeapordy style.

"Im not going to spend any money this year competing to win league"
The question - Are you going to have a crack at the championship?

As you can see - in double jeapordy your answer does not relate to the question being asked. Not even the IBM computer would be able to save you on this one.

Its like on Lateline, with Kerry O'keefe interviewing Tony Abbot
K: "So Tony, what is Liberal's policy to stop boat people?"
T: "Kerry, Labour's government is such a shambolic example of a govt....."

If you feel so strongly that Matts question isnt congruent with my non negotiable statement on my intentions for this season, then please get Matt to rephrase his question so that it better fits my answer to your satisfaction

Plenty of teams have been stock piling money the last few seasons, and are better placed for having a go at promotion, than myself.

You would be one of these teams, hence my scepticism that your continued line of questioning is little more than a smokescreen ploy to try and draw attention away from yourself.
