Dirnberger was not on our roster at the begin of this season. He missed some games.
That's probably the reason. He has already put next season's All-Star game in his agenda.

Anyway, I can't complain. 3 players selected, 2 jussed missed the cut.

Regards,
H

i find it ridiculous aswell. Omaha isn't even in the PO's atm, yet he has 4 out of 5 starters... on the other hand, in the bloodbath conference, Joe has by far the best team and should have more than just 2 players representing his team...

as for Dirnberger, he would have a good fight with Canipel for that top spot. at the SG it's Marichal hands down. at the SF, it should be Backaert. PF is Mees/connor (logical choice for once!) and C, not sure who should be there...

in the deep sea conference, Steven Ballaert should have made the team at starting C. at PF, Ampt (mumu) and alexopulos ( or whatever his name is from KV) should have atleast made the voting...

either way, it's a joke no matter how u look at it.

and a couple of BBBL teams exited the cup on the cupgame today. all in all, i'm ok with it. won't miss out on to much cash ( tho now i got to look from scrimmages again...)

@ Heyland : if Dirnberger isn't in next season that's not to be understood. But Quadra-Salcedo as subs SG, I'm convinced our conference has better SG than him.

Wait a moment, I just realized that Waelput, Ghee Sin, Bastida and Quadra-Salcedo are 4 SGs with a rather strong outside shooting skill combination (JS + JR). Perhaps the game selects them because of this ... that could explain some things.

@Revo : I rather agree, Ballaert also should have been in on the other side. About the Cup exit, you had a tricky game that went badly for you. I'm much more surprised by Tienen's defeat against Yolymapa, I didn't see the D.2 side, despuite HCA, put Tienen in danger. Perhaps Roel thought they would drop ?

Marichal not EVEN in the 4 choices ??

He has played more othen as PG, not SG. And his stats are less high than the 4 first choices.

In fact if we consider the stats, that explains everything :)

Mees played several seasons as PG (training) yet he made the allstar selection as PF also. it doesn't really matter where they play. Anyhow, it's a random system and as it stands, the allstar game is purely for show. no merchandise is gained through it, it has no effect on XP of player nor has it any influence on HCA. the Allstar game formula should be changed, but it's hard to do so. if i'm not mistaken, there was a suggestion to have the managers vote for players of their conference to play in the allstar game. the conference that won the allstar game would then get HCA in the PO finales. that way, all managers would be urged to vote in the best players instead of just voting for there own players... however, the bad points about this idea were that a group of friends could all vote for the same players, thus manipulating the players on the roster. futhermore, a super strong team in a weak conference (who logically would get the best record) would then end up losing HCA that they had earned if the allstar game was lost. Also it would be troubling for divisions with less active teams/managers, etc...

either way, doesn't matter how u look at it, it's just a show game, with no importance or influence on the game. Ottevaere was the best SF for several seasons in the division that i played in (especially in III and II) yet he only made the allstar game twice. for me, the allstar game matches up players against eachother and could potentially expose area's of weakness that aren't as visible when playing in their own teams, since the manager can cover up those changes by changing defensif roles or play them out of position. So if my players don't make it, so be it. they'll be less exposed :P

Luckily, of the remaining 7 BBBL teams in the cup, all managed to avoid one another in the next cup draw.
But the chance of that happening in the rounds after that, are getting slimmer with each round... so i'm expecting at least one BBBL duel in the next round after thursday.
