I crunched my way to the finals last season on the back of scorching hot three point shooting and lucky Game Day Prep, but I couldn’t even keep my home game within twenty in the finals and wouldn’t have won the series in a hundred replays. I’ve got the same squad that I had in the playoffs (though not as good as the team that got me into the playoffs last season).
I’ve snuck into third place at the moment, but PD don’t lie, and at +56 I’m fifth best in the red division. I’ve had excellent luck through 2/3 of the season. With normal luck I’m going to have a very rough time down the stretch; with luck so bad it that compensates for my previous good luck? It’ll be a nightmare.
That said, three of my starters are 30 or over, and this might be the best chance I ever get. I’ll be keeping my eye on the transfer list, looking for a geezer who can be my 5th or 6th best player, but I don’t think I’m going to find him with the money I’ve got to spend.
I’d put my chances at 25-1. To put things in perspective, it’s probably 5-1 I wind up in a relegation playoff. This league is rough. Blue Bucs aren't that good, but they might be able to win home court without having to play a game Normal through the rest of the season. So they've got to be favorites by default.
