Salary was gonna go up this morning but I was too busy to do so :(

Just trying to fix my team for next season basically. Hopefully I have what it takes to survive without an RL.

Yeh he might not make NT but definitely a very good player when I finish. Which should give me a good core of 3 good aussies. Probs paid a fair bit too much but it was a bidding war and i was determined to get him

I believe you have what it takes to beat WA if he doesn't buy up. For me its Breakers, you, WA, GC atm

Had my eye on him all week as well.

2mil+ was a steep price, but a few more seasons of training he can become a very potent player. Very salary efficient as well. Good buy.

Yeah I am not in it at the moment but I am still looking..Third season finishing runner up in the Great 8 is not really enticing, think if I can find a credible piece I will have a run at you lads!

If not Bains you will be right, I am getting a little too stagnant, don't want to be in this div for ever, time to take some risks so either this or next season I will plow this ship in with a massive splash! :)

I wouldn't say your team is stagnant, however it does seem like for a few seasons now the Breakers have had a stranglehold on our conference. Sure there has been some cameo's by a few teams exerting some dominance, for instance my run early last season. But nobody seems content to have a go at wrestling that top spot away from him. Which is a little disappointing as I know there are a few teams who could give top spot a run. Yours for one. The donkeys, maybe the meteors. It is time for some of us to step up whether it be for PO's (which prob won't be) or for next season.

I always give it a shot as best as I can. This season I struggled to find the right players aswell as last. Season before last, I gave it a red hot go but, I had a player go down in the final match of regular season (thx JW ;) ). If I can somehow sneak into 4th this season, then who knows what I may do. Possibly nothing, but I'm hoping to give breakers a headache. Only time will tell... hopfully.

i was thinking more along he lines of particularly our conference. your side usually has a few contenders, JW, yourself, the relegated ABBL team. even CCCPBA was there abouts for a few seasons. but over here it seems to be a one man show most of the time

Round 20 Preview

Games of the round:

Usually 1v2 would be hard to go past for a Game of the Round, and i am sure WA v JW will be a cracker, however it is around the pointy end of the season that there are season defining games and for Yarra Park Bears tonights game is one.

(7-12) Yarra Park Bears @ Doncaster Flames (10-9)

Previous Meeting: Doncaster Flames vs. Yarra Park Bears 101 - 77 (52859249)

This is a must win for the Bears if they stand any chance of avoiding a big relegation series with either RED or the Gladiators. With the top two teams to finish the schedule, this may be their last chance to keep their head above water. Especially when you consider that the teams around them, Red Star and Branny have relatively easy draws on the way home.

Although 3rd spot isn't already sewn up by the Flames who at the moment have a 2 game lead over 4th (Branny), Like the Bears, the Flames have the top 2 to finish their schedule. Once again with teams like Red Star and Branny both having favourable schedules, if results dont go their way and they lose tonight they could slip as low as 5th. Although 5th is always better than 6th

So it is a crucial game for both teams.

My Prediction... Bears by 15



(5-14) RED *Season20 @ Go Aussie (11-8)

This is also a big game for both teams. For RED they are running out of opportunities to close the game to the Gladiators in 6th, and ultimately an easy relegation series. Having dropped their last 2 this is a must win if they want to steal 6th. Whereas Go Aussie are right in the mix of the playoff spots, only holding a single game lead over the Meteors in 5th. You would have to think that a win for them would basically secure on of the two playoff spots up for grab.

My Prediction... RED by 17
