Well if we are gonna discus that why not?

Hire scouts to watch games from the opponent and see i you can make a way of your opponent.
Now you just look at the roles.....no more puzling.....must be handy for people with no time or no logical mind but well

BB made it without asking anyone so i just comply

I understand why some people dont think roles is valuable.

I dont understand why some people HATE it. How is it actually affecting you in a bad way? Dying to hear this.

It's not that I Hate it :p. I just don't think it adds anything to my game. And as Coco says, it might be a little bit less eye-catching since it being in the upperleft corner and with color means it's one of the first things you register, while being one of the least interesting to me.

I wouldn't HATE an eye-catching purple bunny in my player profile either. I just don't think it would add much.

I can't help but feel that somewhere down the road there will be some significance to this. I think an obvious one would be to affect the impact on your fan survey when a player is sold. Regardless, I agree that at present the usefulness seems minimal at best, and it seems some are unhappy at the time and effort spent on this instead of something more relevant. The time is allready spent, the deed is allready done. Perhaps instead of fixing this and spending even more time, they.....and we.....should move forward.

IF you just look at roles and think you can assume an opponents line-up you are far better at scouting than me!

With training forcing you to start players out of position and the fact you can only really play someone for 1.5 games a week, it's never as clear cut as you first think... add in transferred players starting out with 'drawing a salary' and then it's even tougher... but if we play, please try to judge my team based on the roles!!

Or in other ways, tools can make things maybe a bit more "easy" in the game, but the results of tools are created by formula's. The same formula for every team or every player, in this case.

When you blindly follow the output of a tool or a feature like the roles, you believe that the formula is always right.
In this case you believe that a computer is smarter than a human. But don't forget the first lesson: A human is always smarter than a computer.

A computer (tool), can only make things a bit easier, but don't underestimate your own input/output ;)

When I run into an invisible spider web, I instantly become a kung-fu master.
