I want one of these posts for me. I have a pretty large God-complex and my ego demands things said about me.

Short answer is we need more owners like you. Touza was an absolute beast.

Where do we go from here? S32 and S33 pipeline are looking good. We have a couple guys that are almost a season ahead of where our inside bigs like myers and edmondson were at the beginning of the seasons last year. Fewmit only train those guys for two season. We need guys to train bigs for four. We need to make sure that the bigs in our S34 and S35 pipelines look the same as the S32 and S33.

What caused the S30 and S31 pipeline to be so poor? A couple of seasons ago we began to lose the alot core administrators who had been running things on the offsite. Guys like mfork, Sleet, wozz, jfarb all did alot of the behind the scenes work. I was just a young noob in DV during this time. We had great tools like Advanced Stats to analyze games. We had an attendance helper which IMHO was superior to the one on B-M. Matching Ratings predictor. Tactics Helper. Training Planner to help monitor sublevels. The Training Data project gave us all the info that we know about the elastic effect and allowed rhyminsimon to create the training simulator. For U21 and the NT, instead of a google doc like im using now we had a database website that would easily update a players skills when a manager logged on to the offsite or used one of the tools. There was also a scouting tool that could be run to generate the list of potential U21/NT prospects.

As these admins quit the game (especially mfork and wozz), the tools stopped working and our scouting infrastructure was basically not functional. No one really stepped up to fill this void and there was a whole season during their 18/19 year old season when the S30 and S31 pipeline guys received zero scouting which was turned out to be disastrous. During this time, I was more active in participating in the gameplanning threads for the NT game. When I became U21 coach, I decide to take total responsibility for the scouting and IMHO we have seen tremendous improvement in the quality of our pipelines.

As always, you make contact.

See what their plans are. Give them advice. Tell them how much the prospect would potentially sell for. Just put all the cards on the table, and if the manager wants to sell then great. If he wants to keep him and train him, then great. You never want to force a manager to sell, or give ultimatums about his prospect and the U21. Be honest, and see what happens. I'm always a fan of properly teaching a new/inexperienced manager how to train a guy. I've been doing it for almost 20 seasons now. Just this morning Stuart Vereker's manager contacted me. He was a new guy with an awesome trainee that he needed help training. I gave him advice, and he trained him into a monster that is dominating D.II. He wanted my input on how I would train his new trainee. I'm going to give him my .02 and see if he can make another beast. If I told him to sell then his team may not be where it is, and he may not have stuck around as long as he did. I know if I wasn't gifted into an awesome trainee when I started(Dan Gardner!) I may not have stuck around.

The manager came to me since he was frustrated with the responses he had received yet about Vereker's future prospects with the NT, so I gave him this build; one that, with proper GS, would make it very hard to turn down.

12/6/9/14/15/7 17/16/13

I won't give away his current skills, but he has followed that mold I gave and then some.
