But all aussie is not working for me.

Looks like I need to go the international route to be successful. Always seem to be one step behind whitebeard.

also whats with all the wasted CT's this season... there was one earlier season, could'nt remember who, now adam guns versus wombats.

That is why I am liking basically all Aussie but just a touch of international flavour with Olli, Sperbert and Vallo to give me those rare skills sets that you can't get with Aussies.

Well stop complaining about the shortage of these players and put your efforts into training up one of them, for me to buy

He really is that good. Also most of the ABBL is only half trying this season. Look at almost any team and you can see a sopt or two they could easily upgrade for minimal cost and be much tougher.

Urmummas is a great example, four guys around $140-190,000 a week and the fifth $87,000. Slam ! is much more extreme, their third best player is $40,000 yet they have a 5-3 record (will be easybeats for a while having their best player injured, their previous second best sold and their current second best is in respectable game shape and just played 99 minutes this week).

Weakness in the ABBL

Is this one of the weakest ABBLs ever? It seems to me that half the league is tanking or taking advantage of the tankers and no-one is willing to take on Whitebeard outside the cup. Take a look at the current salaries.

Three teams at the salary floor and Slam ! and the Goldfish aren't far off it. That is four of the eight Great 8 teams deciding it isn't worth trying to compete and even Koop and I aren't that high. Take out Whitebeard and the 4/4 Urmummas who have the 2nd highest salaries and the 9th best record and then the next four highest salaries are all in the Big 8 where I guess at least they feel like at least they can get a trophy and the cash cow of finals games.

I shudder to think how much the guns, Tigers and Wombats are making each week, oh thats right I remember, about $500,000 a week! I may have the 4th best record in the ABBL but making just $60,000 a week is a pathetic reward. Shouldn't those that do well get richer?

If I am making $60,000 a week how do teams with $200,000 - $300,000 a week greater salaries survive?

PS: I think last week was a bad week, the fans stayed right away from the BLS game. The previous profits were $159,000, $160,000, $149,000, $170,000 etc. The BLS game was after the away loss to Whitebeard, so naturally after an away loss to Whitebeard thousands of fans lose interest in my team and I have an empty arena, would happen to the Lakers too right?
