Since I am currently at work( I don't work Mondays but I'm picking up a shift for a friend so don't worry) and have a terrible phone, it would take me an hour to type what I want to say, so I'll answer your questions later. I will answer your lat question though.

There is not a huge difference between E.B.W. and I. We've both rode our American U21 players to success, and are infactuated with the U21 and offsite. Difference is he's going through this insatiable thirst for all these NT things now, while I did it 10 seasons ago. And it's because that I see so much of me in him that I can say he isn't the best manager. You always are learning with this game. You learn from your success, you learn from your league, and most importantly you learn from your failures. I just feel I've gone through more of that, and have thus become a better manager than EBW. He's the hot candidate, and I feel he could do a great job as manager, but I feel I'd be the better choice. If he doesn't win this election there is not a doubt in my mind he will eventually be the u21 manager. And I would vote for him and tell others why they should vote for him too.

Hey Oriolekid, as a side note, we are currently tied with three 2nd place finishes a piece ;). And I have two 3rd place finishes as well haha.

1) well I assume I will have lots of help with researching opponents, scouting, and planning. As for the bbmails, I will most likely be picking 3-4 players from each age group that intrigue me, and get to know those 12-16 managers better. It would be just like on the offsite, for I will have a "priority group". It also does not take long to just shoot them a bbmail every week or two and see what's up with their player. I think I will have the time to do that.

2) it will be partially based off the managers, because if they are not willing to train a player differently, then I cannot control them. I will probably look for players that already have 6-7OD and 7 PAS for guards, since they could be shaped more like a true SG (they don't have to train passing and OD as much) and ill also focus on shorter bigs with good secondaries that can be turned into a PF. The key is try to form unique players earlier.

Recruit more people. There are a ton of people on the on site that are still veeerrrryyyy interested in the game and would make amazing offsite members, but are not on the offsite yet. As for the old active offsite members, whether they are losing interest or just have stuff going on in the real world, there isn't much to do to try to respark their interest because I feel like that is more of a natural thing. I think persuading them to train young players in different ways would make things more entertaining for them, because training is ultimately the most fun part of the game. Another thing, is I think the offsite should be able to get more personal, many of the people on there I know very little about. A closer community would also make the game more fun or just harder to leave from.

What?!? Unacceptable. If I wasn't 100% serious about winning, I would totally find a way to get 2nd.

I do agree with you about the older members losing interest and how it is best to focus on others. The offsite is most beneficial to a newer manager in DIV or V, because they have a full array of resources, knowledge, team tools, and experienced managers at their disposal. If they want to promote quickly in this game the offsite will show the how. The more experienced manafers know all of that/about that, so it is certainly their choice to cease being active.

The thing is, though, whoever finishes second (assuming that one of you does) will then have more second place finishes, which means the other will be the one in second place in the most second places and therefore the second placiest of them all, woo, my head hurts now.

I personally think you'd be a better candidate if we were still in the same league and I thought you might throw games against me to focus more on the U21. Clearly Isaiah thought it through far enough ahead to ensure that happened, locking up the key "hrudey's enlightened self-interest" vote. Especially since you beat me frequently and I'm still convinced EBW is just waiting to get some sort of official role here to start copying my avatar again so that he can get people to heap scorn upon me. Little balls of scorn, sure, I'm a big boy, but I cower in the face of heaps of it.

I like you.

You know who you remind me of? The kind of person that votes for oriolekid in a u21 election.

Hey A Warrior, I must have missed this post by you. To answer your question, lots of the training and developing for the future is based on what the managers are willing to train ultimately. I know what I am looking for and am well prepared to help managers train players in whatever direction THEY choose. I will suggest things but its up to them. However,to answer the part as far as types, I have goals for multiple different player types such as PFs, SGs, outside PGs, defensive SFs, defensive bigs, and others. I listed some types a little earlier in the thread of what I will be trying to do. I hope this answers your question.

As for everyone else reading this, I want to thank everyone that has contributed to the debate with your questions. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have been able to have this very successful debate.

Yes, I would also like to thank everyone who voted and participated in the debates! We all appreciate you guys and hopefully everyone can get involved on the offsite, so we can keep in better touch. I most likely will not be able to answer any more questions, before the election is over, so now it's just a "wait and see what happens" sort of deal. Once again, Thank you everyone!
