I'm just going patient/m2m. I need to get some minutes for my guards so they'll train properly.

Due to salaries and div 3 mediocrity, once I clinch 5th, I will be "that" team that turns over it's roster this offseason. I'm loosing $ weekly and having Carmona is just not worth helping me build a well rounded squad. And my team is way too old!

yeah...aging is one problem for my big men also...i focus on point guard training on this season as everybody in the league can tell...me starting the 18 years old quite often in the league game. bought few younger wing players also, one SG@26, one SF prospect@21 one SG@28(you can't say thats young but at least is not too old hahahaha). Once this season is gone, i can see this team big men going away from the team...SIGH then i gotta please my fans again.....BAD CYCLE LOL

I'm in bad shape too. Was selling out so I tweaked prices a bit hoping to add some income, but since the finance situation for D.III is so out of whack it completely backfired. So I'm tapped out on ticket sales with a not insignificant salary bump coming next season and only a slim chance of beating VDs and winning the league. Right now I'm praying I'll be able to train up my backup pg enough to sell him next season to just stay afloat without giving up anyone from my core.

I had a feeling Donniker was going to CT me...dirty rat! haha I wanted to TIE and I knew he would go 2-3 zone, so I figured I would shock the world with a little outside offensive focus. lol...good choice because it helped me survive CT vs. TIE. Good game DCV.

My economy is healthy :p .Moreover I could buy a few very good players for the playoff and try to bring a big upset... the question is... is it gonna be worthy trying or should I wait until the next season?

im thinking you should wait til later unless those few players you get will allow you to survive DII if you make a promotion. Players sell towards playoff tend to go higher as people are trying to rip you off by having guys like you finding the final pieces. save it for the beginning of the season and sell some you dont need at the off season. you are having good record as of now.

As your probable first round opponent I'm gonna go ahead and suggest you hold off on buying new players :)

alright, so if things hold well for my team going into the post-season, I'll be making my second go at League III ... hopefully back to III.4 so I can take another stab at you candy asses!

;-P

Doubtful we'll be a strong competitor in III but damn, no one talks in IV ... ever!!! Gamedays are the only days anyone talks and it's usually between me and 1 or 2 owners.

I guess people don't realize games are only as much as you make them and what better way to have fun than to converse with those you are playing against.

BTW, MB, thanks for that scrimmage a few games back. Didn't expect things to go down as they did though. I fully expected my Goats to get Blasted.

As for my Goats roster, I've overhauled the backcourt with Niko Ovaska and Aleksandrs Venslavs (sp?, lol) while Radeka and Teddy Titus are making waves off the bench. My front court remains strong but we are actually building with three youngsters down low in Robert Ocampo, Paul Wiles, and Matthew Craven (possibly my three favorite trainees to date) while I have a solid veteran in Castrofeito leading the paint. My weakest link appears to still be at the SF position but that's because I cannot figure that damn position out. Lowell Webber is still my primary starter there though I was expecting to have upgraded that before I make the leap to III. Song Khoi is a deadly accurate shooter but his defense is weak. Some days I hit the jackpot with him as a starter ... other days I owe the bank.

Lawrence Coyle is gone after the season ... gonna try and move him and bring in some youngster that makes less. Sad to see him leave as he was part of the Clintron Cantrell/Lowell Webber group that I drafted and trained but he's never stuck as a starter and he's not really seeing the court all that much anymore as I was able to find players with actual defined positions rather than a guy who can fill in anywhere at the 123.

Hey Goats I would love to see you back in III.4. We have had an "off season" when it comes to the forum this season. It is my fault as much as anyones as I have been extremely busy this season. Anyways good luck in the playoffs. Herschel Barry said he looks forward to Teddy Titus trying to guard him again. :).
