wow, you're full of australian players! nice. although the guy you're selling wasn't trained by you, so full OET gain there, if you're not in surplus. can you tell us your difference in marketing merchadise sales with the league average?

oh, no, the staff is not included in OET. but the previous trainer was a train wreck for my economy: it was a 70k-salary lvl 6 good, honest worker, who jumped about 1200-1500 salary per week. since i wasn't training to sell, keeping him would have meant to adventure into a risky strategy. i have rarely trained to sell. now with the OET, i don't know. maybe if you trained as a second trainee a low-level potential guy, like a star [lvl 5] up to 20k, 30k, and then explore the market for countries with populous low divisions [DIII, DIV, and DV]. but... don't think it's worth it. maybe a waste of time and resources. plus, these guys too surely would have OET issues. so there's that.

Staff is just a normal part of expenses I thought?

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

"you kind of feel more of an urgency to clean your economy, have a good draft and develop"

I agree at same time, not every team can have a good draft on BB. Because of training speeds and certain picks are shot before you even start.

True but anyone can purchase a trainee.... and then train them.

anyone can train existing players on their team....

Clearly the evidence in this thread shows at least one person cannot.

In any case, for the actual on-topic discussion recently, staff does count toward the OET, but there's no training exemption for the staff salary increases.

Prior to the possible sale of Quinton(salary 134 K a week), I am forecast to be losing 117K a week and after exemption be paying 25K in tax.

My Merchandise is about 25K over the league average.

Ive just demoted after a season in Div 1, so my initial strategy was to go hard early and win the important games, thus getting the fans back on side, before selling down 3 or 4 weeks into the season.

I cleaned up my financial mess a lot by the hiring and firing of staff and may still hang onto the 134 K player I have on the market, if he does not sell for a decent amount.

Assuming I win my cup games for the next few weeks, I will only be overall about 90 K a week out of pocket but expect that the market will respond better to a possible sale of Quinton in 3 or so weeks time

Okay, this time, you convinced me.

So as someone asked earlier, I think the best thing is to ignore your messages and keep discussing OET with people who have global knowledge of the game. It is funny to discuss with Mr. Glass, but it leads the discussion nowhere

Well I reckon its actually time that messages that are full of illegible pointless ramblings got deleted from this thread or perhaps moved to a new thread called "Broken Glass"

Interesting status in the poll so far with over 110 people having voted

With a resounding majority in favor.
That is a landslide.

One would hope that all the Managers who have "floundered" out their arguments in this and other threads, have cast their vote.

Changes and the introduction of new taxs are not usually popular in real life, so the current poll results are quite interesting.

For all those doomsdayers who havent voted, go to (253111.1)
