Meanwhile you and 'In Your Face' were gifted D4 opponents.

64 teams, 11 of them are NBBA. And 4 of those 11 are playing against each other. I was looking at the prospective field and thought, "There are a lot of D3 teams still alive, everyone's probably getting a good draw." Nope.

10inch Vertical is playing a D2 team. Only 4 D2 teams are playing against each other. So it is likely all of the D4 teams are gone, and most of the D3 as well. The end of good draws is near.

Hmm, let's see some history.

Season 27 (current) - 11 NBBA teams, 2 matchups
Season 26 - 11 NBBA teams, 2 matchups
Season 25 - 8 teams, 0 matchups
Season 24 - 10 teams, 1 matchup
Season 23 - 9 teams, 0 matchups
Season 22 - 14 teams, 1 matchup
Season 21 - 11 teams, 1 matchup
Season 20 - 11 teams, 1 matchup
Season 19 - 13 teams, 0 matchups
Season 18 - 11 teams, 1 matchup

Past 10 seasons, and the last two have been the unluckiest.

To be fair, Jista did play an annoying asshat that may end up in the NBBA next season last night, so he kind of earned a break.

Yeah, I actually drew back to back DII opponents ahead of my DIV foe this week. I will apologize for nothing!

It feels weird to have two games in two days where each could potentially end my one of my 3 seasons. B3 and Cup.

Crazy...my players won the 3pt contest in the NBBA and Utopia. After being an LI team for so long, I can't remember even having a player in the 3pt contest.

Lol.....I didn't even think about the All-Star stuff for Utopia! I guess i have something to do tonight afterall lol

He also appeals to an untapped demographic of 50+ year olds that still think they can ball hard.

I did some market research on my ten 50 year olds... Hate to break it to you, but Ilmar just isn't that popular with them anymore. In fact, his level of appeal has slipped to Mayim Bialik levels.

In a world of postmodern fad, what was good now is bad

The only Ilmar "stan" left on my team is Edgar Bale (27017321). And he's among my youngest & most skilled players. Go figure.

i get dizzy and incoherent lost in the Funhouse world of your roster . . . normal people take an unskilled player at age 18 or 19 and see in them the vast improvement in skills that can happen in 10 seasons. many here are now facing up to the fact that the 28 year old eventually becomes a declining 34 year old who will be a burden to be shed or cigarette butt to be tossed.

but with your unequalled vision you see potential in that 34 year old: complete and utter worthlessness, where every single basketball skill has devolved to atrocious. From what i can tell, this state is indicated by a salary below $400, but this is spoken by a visitor not allowed into the Temple to actually see. Three players have already attained this level, and two more may join them in a season or two.

And i like your foresight in keeping this train to oblivion stocked with passengers, as those who already well on their way to Total Atrociousness have been picked up by your scouts. These can be identified with salaries of below $1000, but are probably still capable of playing a Lucky Fan to a draw.

Indeed, now that i understand your roster, i can share in your excitement you must have about that Utopian -- only 30, but already below $800 in salary! This still young but eventually old man could reach the exalted state of Total Worthlessness before he is 40! There are those among us who strongly believed this was impossible! I do hope he is not cursed with any skills in FT, for this will likely block his achievement of absolute worthlessness, and the faithful do not want to hear that.

and the sacrifices you make . . . never being able to train your team in stamina or FT . . . i commend your dedication to your vision.
