Yes, there is data. There's a thread here somewhere in the forums talking about how long it takes to train PA. Search for it if you want. I have it saved in my spreadsheet. It takes about 2 weeks to train PA in an ideal player (short and young) in 1 position, sometimes less. If you ask my opinion based on my training of my 6'1" 19 y/o trainee from last season, every week gives me 66% of a pop.

Now if you train 2 positions, the time it takes to pop becomes x2 (not exactly, maybe x1.8-2). So to train 5 positions you can ESTIMATE that it will be somewhere between 4-5 times the time. Now if you go do it yourself, it might NOT be the same number of weeks. That's why it's called an ESTIMATE.

Here's what the OP posted: "Even rough estimates will be great!"

Can you estimate the time it takes for you to travel from earth to the next galaxy? Yes. Well do you take EXACTLY that much time down to the last nanosecond? No. Have you ever been to the next galaxy? No. But can you make an estimate nonetheless? Hell yes. Do you need more examples in real life of how to use the word "estimate"?

Now, if you still argue that an ESTIMATE has to be ACCURATE then I no longer will argue with you over that because that means we have different understanding of the word itself.

If the efficient comment was not for me, why did you reply to me?

To aussie dude: Sorry I meant 7-8 weeks.

I think it is more like x1.4-1.5 for 2 positions. Well, at least, that's my estimate. ;-)

You're probably right or closer to the right value than I am. The reason I increased it to closer to x2 because when I train 2 positions I usually only get 5 players to get 48+ instead of the ideal 6. So you're losing training time to 1 player.

That's true, but there is also less risk involved. If you don't get your guy 48 minutes in the first game (fouling out or whatever), you still have a chance in the next games.
