Welcome and I think I can speak for everyone here "We don't look forward to game night against you." lol that is the fun of this league you have to bring it every night or you lose. Welcome and good luck.

I predict that the newly promoted teams on the great 8 side go one and done, unless one of us completely blows up their team and tries to start over. Let's see if you guys can prove me wrong - I'm looking at you broncos and armageddons

Did everyone notice karapaks is running for the South African NT coach job? I think we should all head over there and show our support.

Incidentally, if he wins, he would be the 2nd III.4 manager to hold the position. I helped the fledgling SA team get off the ground back in Season 3 or so.

And if I somehow win this can be a III.4 project, a few of you guys can be the official scouts. Would be a great experience for us!

What's up with the rivalry thing?

Bangerz has 2 rivals while no one considers Prov City a rival?

also, I get to start the season at home, on tv against a team that considers me a rival? Yay for that!

The whole system is flawed. New teams are set up to fail. Not only will I fail this year, my ticket prices will dwindle next year because of so much losing and I won't be able to afford my players. The whopping promotion fee of 300,000 dollars certainly helped too....-_-

new teams arent set up to fail, its just the competitiveness of higher divisions makes it harder for them than it once was when less people played buzzerbeater

Bullcrap. Despite the existence of V, any sentient being is basically going to be playing in IV in a minimum of one full season. From there, the gap is so tremendous, it is impossible to develop a team with 1: The crap income of IV, 2: The limited amount of time you have to develop your players. Then you are screwed, because you promote, and instead of being given something reasonable, like a million or two dollars to get jumpstarted into III, they give you a laughable 300,000 dollars. GTFO with this BS. Then to kick me while I'm down, my attendance will be crap for half the season when I get kicked back to IV, and my players will be too expensive. GTFO with this BS.

I've learned a ton more by losing in III.4 than I did winning in D IV, however, it is possible to stick in DIII and transition well from D IV.

You may currently be: a bit shocked at the talent gap, short on cash, and have no idea on how to match up versus your opponent, but that has nothing to do with the competitive nature of D4, or with a small promotion bonus. It has solely to do with how you manage the economics of this game. I was routinely selling out in D4 and came to D3 with a surplus of cash. Had I been a tad more patient, and had I not overpaid (2MM) for a player who's best attribute is prominent passing I could have easily made the adjustments that I needed to (see EC Flyers 2nd half moves last season), and remained in the league.

Frankly I'm excited to focus on training the things that I need to train, but more excited to get back to the basics in my game planning. The managers of III.4 are top notch; they understand all facets of the game. In D4 you could take a few games off, but here you can't.

Accept the challenge to better your team instead of telling people to "GTFO with their BS". Its rude, presumptive and its inconsistent with how the other managers (whom you'll soon be playing against), treat each other.

You started playing BB in season 8, I started in season 4. I also promoted into Div III early on in my buzzerbeater career and was demolished, don't worry your team will get better it takes time and patience, don't fret. Plus you are giving up on the season before it even started, just because you dont think your team can compete now doesnt mean you won't feel the same way by the end of the season, don't give up.

to blazers77: well put
