It was a level 7. And I don't really remember. I think 6 or so. But I misspoke, the handling has also popped 4 times. So I don't know. But honestly, I didn't keep track of this until recently, and can't remember if he started with average driving or mediocre.
Although his driving will almost certainly pop the next time I drain One on One.

I think that JS trains normally, not sure about JR.

Driving also doesn't have a penalty. I've been training a 7'1 PF and his Driving has popped three or four times to his handling's one or two.

Source?

I think driving does have a penalty but it is a fast training so it could be that the impact is not that harsh.

You can train Driving for PG/SG or for SF/PF so it wouldn't make sense to me if it was penalised.
No proof but an indication

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

Yeah, One one one (forwards) I completely forgot about it being guards trainer. Makes sense.

If you wanted to create a big man with some guard skills, what would you like that player to look like when you draft him?

i would dream for something like this:

age: 18
height: 206cm-211cm
potential: perennial allstar+

JS: inept+ JR: mediocre+
OD: respectable HN: dont care
DV: dont care PS: mediocre+
IS:average+ ID: average+
RB:average+ SB:average+
ST:dont care FT:dont care

i would traim him JS, OD, PS (and DV/HN if needed), for half or whole season, then get his IS, ID, RB to something like sensational/tremendous and maybe a bit of SB if i would feel its needed. then i think he would reach perennial allstar (maybe superstar would not be enough) cap and salary would be high. this kind of player would be more than enough for iv and iii league, and good for ii - i.

i personally tried this approach on guars, take small guys who started as center and make them to sf like guards - but it isn't easy and i believe i need some more patient with them^^

wrong.

js is effected by trainer level, stamina and free throws are not.

Second Team:
All-Starters
I think i'm a little on-topic.
i've bought this player at the begining of the season:

Weekly salary: $ 3 799
DMI: 10200
Age: 19
Height: 6'9" / 206 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: average
Driving: pitiful Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: inept ↑ Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: respectable

My ideea was that i would like to have a future PF that start off as PG and i got him.
I consider 2 things when doing this:
1.I don't really have to work on his guard skils, only on JS and DRV witch i can train without playing him as a PG/SG because of the Forwards training.
2.On this maybe some of the managers out there will not agree with me because of his IS = Atrocious and this could be an issue i don't know yet.I would like to see if something that i have read about here and there is true, that lower skills in comparison with his other skills will train faster + the skills that will train faster because he is a big guy.

I know i'm assuming some risk but still very curious about this ideea. My only real issue is that this player is 19 and not 18 but still going to give it my best.
Mybe you could do something like this with your player.

It is a decent idea u have but not quite the player to make it work. You are correct that lower skills will train faster but i think starting from atrocious IS and inept Rebounding will mean it will take ages till u get a decent player at PF.
