lol. i was planning on training 1on1 soon but after all these people saying driving is useless are giving me second thoughts.

Diving is way under rated imo. I am having great success with players that have really solid driving. Now that does not mean they are off the charts in driving, but 9+ for guards and SF and 7+ for PF's seems to be working. A player that can create there own shot is very important. That is what driving allows players to do.

It's obvious someone with better driving will be a better player than someone with lesser driving skill.

However I think the real question the OP is trying to ask is whether or not a higher driving lower passing skilled player is better or a lower driving higher passing skilled player?

Which is pretty much what everyone is implying. They are ignoring the other skills. By training driving you are neglecting other skills. That's why you need to compare to pros and cons of training driving to let say passing which the OP wanted to know.

i personally don't rate the driving skill high, but the training is still pretty good because it gives fast pops in many skills ;)
