I'll chuck my 2 cents in as well :P
In the end, the round by round write ups didn't go very heavily towards the final results. It's just too easy to have 1 good game here and there and isn't necessarily accurate of season performance. I still think it's a fun thing to do and hopefully provides a bit of discussion or entertainment for some people when the forums are a bit quiet.
We did go through every single team and looked at the stats and performance of every player so there were a lot in the mix but some players just weren't there yet and when it was close, team performance was taken in to account and often put a player over another. This is the way it's done with the NBA and just seemed to make sense for us to do it that way as well.
You can look at the stats of say Monta Ellis, David Lee, Zach Randolph, Danny Granger, even Chris Bosh and stat wise you could say that they should be in the MVP running but you never really hear of these kind of players in the MVP running at the end of the season and part of that is the team performance not being good enough.
That said, team performance is only a small factor that basically separates two close players so if a player is good enough then he'll still get up in the end.
