Sounds like a day trader tool,

if this was to happen it would have to be limited to only 1 autobid on 1 player at all times.

Then why not just make the bid?

He is talking about the same way Ebay work's.

This way it will save you money if no one bid's up to your maximum bid and you don't have to be online when it happens.

But either way it will be unfair to other people,

Let's say i just got home and logged on to BB to buy a player and it end's in 15 minute's. It is a player with 30k salary and is worth 500k, and i put 500k with an autobid but the current bid is only 250k because everyone is waiting for the last minute to bid hoping to save money. Meanwhile the server has a crash and no one can now bid. It would be unfair to the people waiting for the last minute and unfair to the seller.

Yes, this is the issue which can be solved easily and also is the question when autobid should happen. Right away after opponent make a bid? I suppose that user will get to recognize this behaviour by the time.

So the question is why someone doesnt bid a maximum value right away instead and want a tool to save him the money. It is because you never know who and when will overbid you. Its a pretty live market. The reason why most of the managers overbid is because they hope that you give up. So when there will be autobit mechanism, most likely happen that user will give up sooner.

On the other side is true that so many players are sold cheaply, because there is no time. So I think that there could be some kind of autobid mechanism, but only that which is there for a checking that the player will be bought for a maximum price you already putted on.

I mean sometimes happens that you put 1M for a player, go to sleep and when you wake up, you figure out that he was sold for like 1,15M to someone else. So I think that when I bid for a player which I believe is really sufficient to "risk" the price, I could tell to the coach to have a nightshift and he could randomly overbid to 15-100 percent from the maximum value I putted on.

The difference is that you have to put in some money already to have an autobid. And the result will be somehow random, because instead of minimal overbid, he could buy (if you are unlucky) that player for like 1,8M.

To make it so not to much a burden of processing- #1 The autobid takes from your available funds the max amount you put in, not just what you are currently bidding. #2 One autobid set up at a time per team/user #3 Autobid can not be canceled once set #4 One autobid per player- If an attempt to set up another autobid is placed the greater of the two remains, the lesser of the two is processed as a regular bid (for whatever the max they put.

autobid don't have to be processing intensive, normally you need just a comparision of three values. Actually highest bid and owner, second highest bid and the current price. If the new bid is higher then the highest bid, he get the highest bid and the other one the second highest one - the result would be the current price one step above the second highest bid or the highest bid himself(so there are just few calculations made with each bidding). If is not higher then the fhighest bid, it comes to a comparision to the second bid and maybe a change to the current bid depending on result. If you make a bid war betwen to bot and the cheaper auction win it, it would lead to complains so in my eyes it had to happen like that not only for the servers.

Honestly a autobid is most time faster and easier to process then a bidding war ;)

The question is, are bidding wars betwen non supporters economical good for the developers - because you maybe generate more advertising money because the players are online for a while and maybe click from time to time to have something to do for 2-3 min.

The other question is, how many people like bidding wars, and i don't think that both systems should be online at the same time, because a bidding war against a bot is at least for me not fun it is frustrating.
