I have signed up but have yet to find a team.... :(

All public leagues look full, I went through just about each one.

If anyone knows a private league that would want someone to join let me know. Login there is also hobbs71

Thanks
Hobbs

I played this a year or so ago and dropped it because of the lack realism, specifically:

1) no substitutions at all. No pinch hitters, no defensive replacements.

2) Teams were going through the season with 4 or 5 starters pitching 95% of all innings.

3) You could play without a catcher in your lineup, that is, put another hitter in that slot and don't worry about it.

Any of this changed?

Well #1 is still true, but the pitchers no longer pitch 95% innings and seem to pitch a realistic ammount of innings, and you can still put anyone at catcher but there he will lose a lot of his defensive rating playing out of pos to C. But it is a fantastic game.

This should allow anyone who want's to find a public team to find one right away:

http://www.csfbl.com/recruitteam.asp

I think that the realism has greatly improved in the last couple years.... and it's an ever improving game too.

Anyone that I can help is free to drop me a line here, in CSFBL, by email(bo@fulgin.com) or on AIM(coachbofulgin).

If any of you buzzerbeater vet's want to share some advice for over here with me I'd be real thankful.

fulgin,
All those teams are private leagues no matter how many times you refresh.... Kind of wierd someone is able to get more than 8 teams.

I guess the ones that were available have been taken.

Like all of these games, its always being improved. I believed the current CSFBL game is no longer adding features, but ComputerSims Baseball is due out at some point with a lot more features.

Thanks for the reply, Steve.

but ComputerSims Baseball is due out at some point with a lot more features.

I will give that a try, but without in-game substitutions (no matter how badly its implemented) and the catcher issue, I'll sit this out until the new game (which was being touted back when I played my few seasons) is taking players/owners.

Just isn't to my taste.
