I was looking through the draft and I noticed that "young khalifa" drafted a hall of fame potential guy in the third round, and a 4k salary, but they are inactive and he won't get training. its terrible to see a young player like that go to waste

My advice is to not spend too much time looking through the draft results in D.V leagues. There are so many bots, and managers who don't stick around, that really good players are lost all the time. It'll make you crazy once you start appreciating what it takes to train players.

I'm one of the scouts for the USA U21 team and I know how hard it is to get that combination of high potential, good starting skills, and good owner/trainer.

Training is fun though. There's nothing like Friday morning seeing little arrows next to your guys when they pop their skills.

Big game tomorrow night as the minnesotagreeners travel to the AlamoDome to face Mr. Winless.

Mr. Winless will be missing the services of their Dutch outside threat Gert van Deursen, whereas the greeners will have SF Saldahna on the floor.

Who will win? On Sunday somebody's winning streak is coming to an end!

Holy cow, what an epic game!!

After about 43 minutes of playing time, Michael "The Beast" O'Byrne commits his 6th personal fould of the night, sending him to watch his teammates try and finish off the visiting greeners. It's clear the greeners have put a lot of effort into the game.

Then the greeners tie it up on a Julius Anderson jumpshot with 1 second left in regulation!!!!

The two teams trade scores through a lot of overtime, yet Mr. Winless pulls away, and in the end, the greeners come up short, losing 131-133.

Great game all around, super exciting!!

Tonight marks the start of interconference play, as the Big 8 teams travel to the Great 8 arenas to do battle!

Overall it must be acknowledged that the Great 8 is a bit stronger than the Big 8, but we will have to see who prevails.

The most interesting matchups tonight include the Knoxville Eagles traveling to the AlamoDome to take on Mr Winless. Can the Eagles stop O'Byrne, or will they get stomped by the English center? Not only is O'Byrne a great player, but with that accent he gets all the chicks! I suppose 50K salary every week helps too! :)

Then, the Hakarl travel to The Snake Pit to face the Virginia Vipers. Will the Serbian/Slovenian tandem of Rankovic and Korencin prevail against the Hakarl's defense? Come too close to the paint and the old Norwegian Nutcracker Stein-Ove Amdal will try and flatten you. The old man can still play, and is bringing his A-game every night on the court.

Best of luck to everyone throughout these next 8 games!*

*- except whoever is facing the Hakarl. :)

That was a good game, very tight. And you put up the most points against my team so far this year. My team has the league's best defense, so that's an accomplishment.

In our other featured game, the Knoxville Eagles, despite all their effort, were unable to unseat Mr. Winless at home. O'Byrne was just too much to handle.

Not much surprise in the league games from last night. The Big 8 and Great 8 split them evenly, and the only potentially competitive game was the minnesotagreeners visiting the Knoxville Eagles, but the greeners strong offense pulled through, winning by 12 in the end.

Next up, the games of most interest have Alliance Knight visiting the AlamoDome against the undefeated, and inaccurately named, Mr. Winless, while the two 4th place teams play, with the 44ers hosting the Knoxville Eagles (who are predicted to win).

Well, this is the start of the All Star Game week, but before that extravanganza there is one more league game. And there's a couple good ones to be had on Saturday night.

First, the Vipers of Virginia will be traveling to the Alliance Arena, to face the hometown team, Alliance Knight. The Vipers are currently in 3rd place in the Great 8, sporting an 8-4 record. The Vipers' Starting SG Rajko Rankovic has been injured for a few weeks though, and may still miss this game. The Vipers could certainly use his 47% shooting and 23 PPG.

The Knight have a 9-3 record, using a consistent press defense to hinder the opponent's ball movement. They currently are in second place in the Big 8. However, the Knights have some injuries as well, with starting SF Shayne Pease being sidelined at the moment. Last year the Vipers pulled out an 8 point win on the road. Can they repeat that this year?

The other big matchup is undoubtedly the game between the two undefeated teams, Mr. Winless out of the Great 8, and Njord's Hakarl of the Big 8. Njordheim will host over 7000 rabid fans in the hope of watching their team break The Beast O'Byrne and stay out of the loss column. Both teams have their full rosters available, and surely after this tough match up, both will be ready for a short break during All Star Game week.

After the All Star Game, there's just 2 more interconference games before picking back up for a stretch of seven games where teams face off against each conference mate for the second time. Those games will likely determine exact playoff seedings!

Those were some excellent games, as the Vipers pulled out an incredible 1 point win in overtime against the Alliance Knight. Great job to VGcollector and their squad! Rankovic made it back for the game, and scored 20 points in 34 minutes. That performance helped secure his spot on the Great 8 AllStars.

In the battle of Mr. Winless and the Hakarl, we're happy that we were able to pull out a victory against Beast O'Byrne and his teammates. Once again O'Byrne was in foul trouble, and was forced to sit out the end of the game. All said, the Winless weren't able to overcome the Hakarl defense, and now sit tied with their Great 8 rival the minnesotagreeners. The greeners do host the Hakarl on the next game following the All Star Game. Perhaps their time at the top of the standings will be short lived?

Well we're at the halfway point of the season, and now starts the final stretch. It appears that all the actively managed teams are a lock to make the playoffs, with the main questions being home court advantage and bragging rights!
