yep, I am surprised too! Maybe I just have alot of optimistic fans out there. You are right, Big 8 conference looks to be really tough and after a brief scouting, I see myself coming maybe 7th if Iwen really tank this season.

I'm a man of my word guys, otherwise selling players like McArthur and Dell'Asta just to buy some foreign mercenaries would be crazy....

I fully intend on brining my wrath to division II and III.

I dont see why you need to get to div3. Do they have better draft there?

I need to spend money in II to stay afloat. I'd rather not. Sitting on $20m in Div III will be awesome, and my intention is to hardly use any of it to get back up (except buy some bigs), but primarily using my trained guards.

Thats becuase datzilla is an experienced manager, he was bottled necked in a hard div3 so it was no surprise he was able to stay afloat once he got to div2. The same thing will happen for him in the abbl when he got out of a hard div2 league.

His team is already good so dont misjudge some of his low salary players.. and one superstar in Duffle, they all seem to be playing above their salary. He just only needs to spend that 1mil promotion money on a good guard and hes ready to take on anyone in the the relegation battle. Since iwen has confirmed he is taking 8th spot, I don't see datzilla finishing better than 6th or 7th... to be honest he will cone 7th.

HA on the other hand, has the best team out of all the promotees, has that 1mil he can spent to get a deeper roster.. and has a great chance to avoid relegation. He is certainly in poll position out of all the new promotees. But he has to stay competitive the whole season.

Datzilla on the other hand can choose to tank, bank a whole lot of money, get 1 or 2 wins to get 7th spot and buy some 300k players for the relegation battle against HA. He will have the most potential and will certainly come up with a better team once the relegation series comes around hence he will do the best..

That is true if you come from that angle but Yoda has clarified that "best" is the one that has the most wins/best position. Clearly HA has the advantage when it comes to that with HA being the best promotee team and also pancakes maybe tanking for training?? and maybe are you too??

On big 8 conference, it is only guaranteed iwen tanking and no one else so I have no doubt DFBS will have a good roster come playoff/relegation but in terms of wins throughout the season, he will probably finish in relegation playoff zone

You know i have to vote for chelsea because he has everything in place such as his superstar trainees. All he has to worry about is training and saving money.
So imo, he got the best deal out of all of us promotees. Tho i do have outstanding guards but i think they are only div2 level and will struggle against most of the guards you guys have here in abbl. Chelsea currently has depth, 1m in the bank, healthy arena size, 4 trainees and relatively young team. So you will. Only see seagull progressively gets stronger and fatter, his wallet that is. Doesnt matter how good you are at tactics and experience, you can never beat fatcats. Maybe this is the season the gulls will finally have one back at dfbs after so many seasons. I cant remember the last seagulls beat me. Lol.

You can't? Then let me help you (32306383), Duffduff had a respectable 20 but Oliver scortched you for 35. Ah the glory days. Can I also remind you who won the Fishbowl East trophy last season? Just messing with you. I voted for you but I admit it was a close call you or HA as the stars of the promoting class.

I have great trainees and Barton would like to say he is happy to be back in the ABBL where he played for Pancakes with Jam and Cream as a young trainee. I guess also Mu Hongyun would like to say hi as he was the #1 draft pick in the ABBL draft by the Berwick Beers. While I am at it Jared Sherwin is also happy to return to the courts where he was drafted (same draft class as Radford, Rudolph) and used to represent the Doncaster Flames and then later Phoenix 5 so this is his third ABBL team. Finally Garth Larbi is back to his role as an ABBL backup PF which he last did for Canberra Crushers just a couple of seasons ago.

Ok went a little off topic there. My point was that I do have some great trainees as well as a lot of ABBL (Ancient) History.

This ABBL money is crazy. I have just bought a new trainer, new PR, made a stadium expansion and still have seven figures in the back. I like it.

Koops that is the scenario I fear.

With a "Declared tanker" in the other conference teams like Fatboy can literally semi tank and concentrate on saving money and focusing on training.

I dont want HA to have to fight for survival all season and lose site of a training plan and the bigger picture.

Bigger picture is season 20 and if I can focus on training for the next two seasons I believe HA is only a bit of depth and a couple "inclusions" away from being a serious ABBL team.

This is why Yoda should do the honerable thing and renounce any delusions of staying in the ABBL next season and instead play sensible and try to out tank Iwens mob
