There already is a universally understood separator, a (white) space, used for both the auction price and player salary. I can even quote you on this:
displaying the price like "3 034 123"

I anyway prefer it the current way, it makes working with different programs and language versions (Excel etc.) easier.

Excel can "eat" (identify and break) any separator.
Space is something that may not be noticed.
Anyhow, read Coach Regan solution. I think it solves all arguments against.

So let's just code everyithing on the game to be upon Mors code (or any), and you will just need to read it carefully...
Or use roman numbers, and others. "JUST READ CAREFULLY"...

How is the current system confusing?
It isn't at all.

It would be much more confusing with a separator.

12,345 to me is twelve, to someone else is 12k
