Although it does allow a kind of freedom: I don't have a lot of choices! Tho' this draft was better than last season.

As an european with many albanian people as immigrants in my homecountry i tend to remember that the term *us* is used in a friendly way to talk to somebody beyond them. It's like breaking the barrier from the start. I guess it wasn't ment offending by him. But I also guess he applied as Nippon NT coach by mistake...

The method of learning Japanese recommended by experts is to be born as a Japanese baby and raised by a Japanese family, in Japan. And even then it is not easy...

No offense man - I'm sure you're probably an excellent coach. But we're just coming off a pretty bad appointment - at least as far as a 'community'. Some ended up relatively satisfied... but just as many weren't. I think we're gonna go with one of our own this go-round.

In general I prefer a native NT-manager. The guy must show more responsibility than somebody else, especially in such a *small* country like Japan. Most important thing is, than a NT accept inputs from other native managers as well, maybe even create a small team around him to have folks to help him who will scout and monitor players who are spread around the world. There are some countries and manager doing this, maybe it can help to add a little bit more quality to a NT. Carry the whole thing on one shoulder is okay if you have extensive online times. If not I guess it can be a burden ;)...

And as I mentionned before, all managers should put in 2 local heroes as trainees in there slots. That would be wonderful...

I agree. I have only ever trained local Nippon players. I have always done it single position and for a long time it has been with a level 6 trainer. I have never had the best trainees so I haven't had world class results but I do think Kawadia and Konoe contributed well to the U21 team and now Sonada plays well for the NT.

In the far future I would love to see Kawagichi, Umari or "The Skinkansen" make the NT if I can train them well.
