I don't think I lied about it but I did say that I think most people probably don't look forward to it for days and think about it constantly like they do the real thing.

The bad spelling I admit to.

Baby number two is an exciting time. I have number two now and all I can say is there will be days when you are flat out and insane. Then there will be times when they are both asleep as is the wife and you just want to sit down and relax for a while. Hard to be reliable, being part of a WOW raiding team that needs four hours every Thursday night between 6-10 is impossible. Playing BB where you can survive by just logging in once on Sunday-Tuesday arrange your scrimmage and set lineups for the next weeks games is easy.

I'll be back as the Magick's tanking days are coming to an end. Season 20 will see my boys start to make some moves.

Congrats on the impending arrival of Baby No.2 Skyhookz. I see you 2 and raise you another two! lol Baby No.4 is due for me early June.

Option I forgot sound slike a brilliant option.

I guess I'll stick around for another season if you'll have me

My thoughts on teh league structure are:

I don't think you can go to two equal leagues. For the most part, ABBL v D2 games tend to be somewhat one-sided, with the odd upset, which is ok. ABBL v D3 would be brutaly one sided, and I don't think would be much fun for either teams involved. I like the current league setup you have now.

I think realigned to start at the start of next season is a good move, and a few weeks off may whet some people's appetite for the PL?

I also personally think we need to mix the teams up a bit as well.

"I also personally think we need to mix the teams up a bit as well."

Do you mean the federations? Could be interesting to get to know new people I suppose!

I also wouldn't mind seeing one season without the MVP voting.
Don't get me wrong, the MVP voting is great, and people do a great job.
I just thought it might be nice for everyone to relax for a season and not worry about MVP votes.
I think more people have gotten involved with the "Tipping the winning games" competition we have tried out this season and I can personally say I enjoy it a lot more than the MVPs.
Perhaps we can have some things like that to replace the MVPs for a season?

there is no guarantee the tipping contest will continue next season, for a few reasons...

1) Most of it was dumped unfairly on Bains this season as due to my back and other issues, i simply could not sit at PC to help out...
2) Baby 2.0 is due soon, and i have advised Bainsy that I will not be continuing next season, as i know my responsibilities around home will sky rocket, meaning less BB time..

It is really in Bainsy's hands at the moment as to whether or not he wants to continue moving forward, however i am sure if he could get assistance from someone it would make it alot more feasible for him..

Well so far the "Same as this season but a delayed start" option is running away by a mile with almost everyone including me voting for it.

There were the occasional upset and a number of close game in ABBL vs Division II games but I think we have to keep things this way because going back to all ABBL in the West and all Division II in the East is great for the Division II teams who get to play a lot of interesting teams at their level but it sucks for the ABBL teams who have just another game against each other and a number of them said it was too dull.

As far as mixing teams up a bit. I am not in favor of changing the Federations but am for mixing up the leagues. Some players will not return and others will be back but it would be only sensible to make changes. Of the ABBL this season we had

West
WB
WOM
BB
BHB
MB
Smeltz
Slam !

East
BLS
Koop
DFBS
BPSC
Pancakes

Right now it looks like Smeltz, Slam !, Pancakes and BPSC are all in danger of relegation while Chumunga, Knights, Goldfish, JW, Titans, All-Sorts, CROCKERS and I have a chance of promotion. So things automatically change a bit.

But I would like it if for example WB and BB joined the East while BLS and BPCS went West.

The best thing about delaying is we can wait until day one of the new season to finalise things and actually get everyone in the right league.

The downside is some may decide to leave and join another league because they don't want to wait that long. We Calamari are already takling about having a small PL for a few weeks to fill the gap.

To be clear on the dates.
Friday 23/3 Last regular season Fishbowl game.
Friday 30/3 Fishbowl Semi-Finals.
Friday 6/4 Fishbowl Finals.
Friday 13/4 nothing.
Friday 20/4 nothing.
Friday 27/4 nothing.
Saturday 28/4 is the last game of the regular season.
Friday 4/5 nothing.
Saturday 5/5 is the day of the Semi-finals.
Friday 11/5 nothing.
Saturday 12/5 is the day of game two of the finals.
Monday 14/5 is the first day of the new season.
Friday 18/5 would be the day we started season 8 of the Fishbowl.

So that is seven weeks spare until we would start again. You could run a short 6 man PL with a top 2 final and still have a week to spare. We Calamari may do this.

I said I would do the MVP voting the statistical way this season and then didn't. Silly me. I think I should make sure that Bainsy and Whitebeard are in my league next season so I can get a break. Then again surely Bainsy deserves a chance to be in the South and win some games.

i think it has worked well, and people have enjoyed tipping.

i am happy to continue doing the tipping

@ naker, i dont think it would be fair on the other managers to accept your tips, as the rules were made clear

i apologize if we couldnt get the games up early enough, communication was hard with how difficult it has been for skyhook to get on bb regularly.

next season it should be alot more efficiently. however i dont think i will be able to do mvp's as life is a little more busy atm

It is no problem Bainsy, you have done a wonderful job. Maybe it is time to get Vios into the league and get him doing the weekly MVPs. He has been a machine in the past and may even be another ABBL team next season. Buzz he is a Calamari! It sucked having 12 ABBL teams in the league with a breakdown like this:

5 Kevin
4 Sharks
2 Oil Tankers
1 Calamari

No wonder we Calamari struggled this season.
