ShadowSlam and Carl Spackler both did their research, but apparently not well enough as they both missed horribly on their GDPs.

ShadowSlam's Team of the Scroll wanted it more, putting in the extra effort, and between that, and a dominating 3 quarters before letting the back-ups play out the 4th, were in command the whole way. Blowing out the Varmint Cong 91-50 in this rivalry game on TV.

David Thomas, only seeing 24 minutes of time in the blowout put up another solid effort for Team of the Scroll, showing fans just why he was worth the big bucks when they signed him. Maybe that will be a lesson to the 40% some fans who did not show up for today's game after the 0-2 start last week, despite the cup win.

Donald Luwa seemingly found his rhythm in today's contest. Also Connelly and Lynn finally playing up to their potential, last week Lynn showed signs of poor positioning and bad defense, fouling out just after half-time. Today he had himself a 16 pt 22 rebound performance with 1 foul. Connelly added a 20 pt 15 rebound performance.

This could be the start of a turnaround Scroll fans! Make sure you stay tuned.

Managed to pull out the blowout win against former conference #1 Rabid Goats. Feeling really good about the future. Maybe the playoffs are in reach after all?

Rabid goats and deadshot snipers... How did u blowout the goats but when he TIE me I lost by three even when I guessed his offensive focus, that's bull.

Hopefully no offense to the Oreos, they are a great young team that I really need to watch out for, that 19 yr old 7k salary superstar is shaping up well

Wouldn't be surprised if the Oreos beat out one of the current teams for the POs

Most people build their teams by buying high salary players. Now that's a good idea, but one I do not follow. I believe in having balance and complimentarily skilled players.

Hopefully my logic works and I do, in fact, make the POs.

As for young Jim, my little trainee, he has USA NT aspirations. Lol watch out for us.

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/65836957/boxscore.aspx (watch final 52 seconds)

In a THRILLER down to the final 18 seconds, the Volcanoes stole a win at home from the Team of the Scroll. Trailing most of the game, the Volcanos jumped to a quick lead early in the 4th, but then the defenses of both teams buckled down. This largely in part from ShadowSlam knowing how Roy93 was going to run his offense. Unfortunately for ShadowSlam the pace fell right into Roy93's hands, as their team's extra effort helped spark their win.

Final score 75-67 in what was a 1-point game with under a minute to play!

Donald Luwa started 8-9 but went 0-5 to close out the game. David Thomas just never really spread the ball around, gaining only 3 assists on a msierable 9 assists effort for Team of the Scroll overall. Another big factor in Team of the Scroll not pulling out the road win... Rebounding...

The Volcanoes out-rebounded Team of the Scroll 66-40. Including their 23 OFFENSIVE rebounds, compared to 7 by Team of the Scroll.

Lynn and Marks the LVPs as they combined for 7 points on 2-29 shooting....

interesting season already. biggest surprise imo, social security kings starting off 0-4. they're one of the stronger teams in the league, did not see them starting off the season this way, but i'm sure they'll start to put together some wins here soon.

I'm actually quite surprised that I have a 2-2 record after facing the top 4 teams in my league.

For the second time this season, The Oreos have taken down the #1 seed in the conference. Riding a 3 game win streak, those Philly boys are looking to enter inter-conference play in playoff position.
