Great start to the ball game. We were really hanging in tight with Malaysia's big boys in the first quarter. But as it is the case in most of our games, our opponents starts to figure us out after the first quarter and our lack of experience shows as we begin to trail. Overall, I liked the effort we put out there, in a surprisingly "close" game. GDP might have aided to that. But we kept it close in each quarter except for the 3rd. I liked the effort though, despite being doubled up in the 3rd quarter, we kept driving the ball to the lane causing them to foul 6 times that quarter. That's the case with losing each quarter though, we trail a little bit each quarter and that deficit just adds up until we simply couldn't catch up no more. Chalk it up as a learning experience, much like Raptor's loss on Saturday against the Rockets. The coach won't go easy on you just because we losing in a blowout game, just gotta work it out and tough through it. We will come out a better team.

Now the highlights:
- Sang-Woo Kim is the beast of this team and he's always in beastmode. I give him first star of the game
- Yong-Ha Ryu. Gotta credit Daegu Heatwave's coach for giving him great gameshape and results shows. 2nd star of the game
- Kyung-Tae Jung. Mr. Pocket Rocket. Great spark to our offense coming off the bench. 3rd star

honorable mentions goes to U21 rookie Jin-Hyung Ahn. Mr. Trigger-happy. Might be his first game jitters, but wow, his arms must be sore from all those missed shots. :P

We have an offweek next week, I will try to get us a scrimmage to keep our guys active and keep those legs moving.

Great week of training everybody!!!
Game shapes looks good all around. Training looks good all around. Hopefully if we keep this up, we'll have somewhat of a competitive team next season.
We got the scrimmage against India U21 this week. It won't mean much, but it'll be a good test of our new skills leading towards our true test which is the final 2 games of the season.

Keep up the good work! And let's finish strong! =)

A win is a win!

India U21 66 - 78 Hanguk U21

We had every advantage going into this game, such as gdp and actual home court advantage, so that definitely takes a lot out of India's game, but definitely not to take anything away from us. A win is a win, and we won. So with this victory, it shows that with all your hard work, we are actually capable of winning with our current roster.

Keep up the training! Try your best to deliver good game shape for next week!
We'll be playing UAE next week, and this game counts. UAE lost to Vietnam this week, and I believe they will be coming at us strong. So let's give them a run for their money!

Final Score
Hanguk U21 125 - 81 U.A.E. U21

A very much back and forth game to start. We played with more effort, but I guessed wrong on the GDP, so the game was pretty much up in the air. We jumped to an early lead in the first quarter, at one point even a 23-12 lead. Starting strong as we've always had, but that lead didn't last as we ended up trailing 23-29 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter we remained consistent, hitting our shots with in even distribution of ball movement. Who would've ever thought passing is in our strong suit, but you guys made it work. We head into the half with a 50-47 lead, outscoring U.A.E. 27-18 in the quarter. Coming off the half-time break, refreshed, almost every shot was going in! We rained 3s, we played defense, we got a little slap-happy with the fouls. We did it all this quarter and pretty much sealed the game with a 36-19 quarter. Fourth quarter finally our backups get to play some real minutes and they played equally relentless. Scoring and demonstrating that they are just as capable as the starters. Closing off the game with a 39-15 quarter.

3 stars:
* Kyung-Tae Jung (Busan Thunder) - "Mr. Pocket Rocket" definitely played a big part of this win, game high 41 points, hitting 3s that sunk a dagger into any momentum they might have built.
** Jin-Hyung Ahn (*New York Knicks*) - "Mr. Trigger-Happy" shakes off the jitters from his U21 debut and actually hits his shots! Nevermind the fact that he still is trigger-happy, firing a bulk load of shots, but this game he was getting them in. And making those scores count instead of them being misses was a big make or break for this game.
*** Sang-Woo Kim (BBC White Devils Cottbus) - "Mr. Big" contributes as he always does. Delivers when it counts. And defense is a big understatement, having been assigned to guard their talented big men. It might not show on the stats sheet, but he definitely contributes a lot.
Honorable mention goes to Yong-Ha Ryu (Daegu Heatwave) for being able to hold it down on defense against a stronger opponent. And also to the rest of the team for contributing off the bench.

We win!!!
let's get it together and finish the season strong!
Good work everybody! =)

With that, the lineup has been set for our final week of U21 group stage. Unfortunately, it's already determined that we won't be moving on to the next round. For that I would like to apologize to our community for my failure to bring us to the next stage. But to that, I would also like to add that this is a building process, and from the progress we have made this season, and hopefully if we continue our training and building up of our players (and hopefully manager base as well =P), that we will be able to compete seriously in the coming seasons.

I'd like to thank you all, sll the local managers of Korea, and also all the foreign managers who have bought Korean players, for sticking to it, and giving us this chance. Let's finish strong! Our game against Vietnam U21 on Monday!

This is the Rebirth!!!

You certainly have nothing to apologize for. After 9 seasons, that was the most interesting following the national teams has ever been Thanks for your hard work, updates, and advice.
