I don't think salary floor should be increased for lower divisions. In these divisions being lower than the salary floor does not mean you are tanking. My team is currently at half the floor and second in the conference. Granted its mostly a bot filled division and the top teams are above the salary floor, but my main focus is training right now and as it stands, I'm already not making much money per week so raising the floor would just make it harder for teams like mine to promote.

Maybe, if they go ahead and raise the salary floor, they could include trainers salary to determine if a team is below the salary floor. This could help encourage training.

You're right on with the revenue, but I still don't make that much because my main focus is drafting and training, not promoting. I could focus on buying players and being competitive, but it wouldn't get me to promotion so I don't see much of a point in wasting money there. I prefer training because I see it as better long term strategy for sustained success. Here's my economy.

Player Salaries: $ 73 798 Attendance: $ 155 985
Staff Salaries: $ 104 413 Merchandise: $ 49 556
Scouting: $ 40 000 TV Contract: $ 73 798
Total: $ 218 211 Total: $ 279 339
Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 61 128

You might say I'm paying too much for staff, but I want a top level trainer so I can only afford those with higher salaries. Also, my trainees were getting injured early in the season and missing valuable time so I bought an exceptional doctor to prevent this from happening

That allows the other human team in your league to reduce his own salary and make money while having a chance to promote.

Not really because there are 4 other teams in that league that are all much more competitive than me. That's kind of like saying the first place team could reduce his salary just because he's way better than the last place team.

Imagine a league where all the managers decide to play at the salary floor. That would be unfair to the other leagues.

You're taking this to a huge extreme. One team not being competitive does not mean every other team in that league will reduce their salaries to play at their level.

As I said earlier, the reason I am not competitive is because I am 100% focuses on developing trainees. I don't hoard money; all my money goes into arena or staff. I also don't want to waste money on buying players right now, since if I did, it wouldn't even get me to promotion. My strategy might cost me a few seasons of competitiveness, but in the long run I should have really good players and it will pay off.

Look, I am not against raising salary floor. I just think it should only apply to higher divisions or if they do apply it to all divisions they should count the trainer's salary towards the salary floor.

Well that would just extend the time it takes for me to be competitive. I am not hoarding money. I currently have less than 200k, so the only way for me to become immediately competitive would be to sell off my trainees which seems like kind of a waste.

Again, I think raising the salary floor is good for higher divisions, but I think it is already high enough for lower divisions.
