We were not aware of the fact that bidding was not possible, the site seemed slow but not unusable. Delaying transfers was not necessary.

In the future, we will monitor the site more closely while the data is being copied.

We have to do it now in order to prepare as many things as possible before the migration. It is also necessary because if we would not do it while online, we'd have to prolong downtime to a week or more. Such is the relationship of our current setups data amount/read speed ratio. The new server however is showing some very promising performance. I don't want to jinx it though.

I will add an announcement (message of the day) as you suggested.

I don't like delaying of trades part because i already put my players on tl to get rid of their contracts right before economic update. If their trades are going to get delayed i will have to pay them.

Also I hope i won't have problems with changing my lineups for finals this upcoming weekend.

This might be caused by a couple seconds difference between clocks on different servers. This is not going to be an issue after the migration. Sorry for the missed player!

@Alonso: I missed the fact that it was one hour later. Yeah, it must be due to pushed transfers, which means that you're right, it was due to my transfer delay. It only happens if I do it a second or two after the auction ended and before it was processed. Very unlucky.

@LA-Mordeath: Thanks for the reminder!

Per the general announcement:

[W]e do not expect for the downtime to last less than 12 hours (best case scenario), and might take much longer if problems arise. The offseason calculations will most probably be started only after the site is back online, so don't expect the draftees before that.

Based on that info I'm guessing we'll likely have draftees in time for the first friendly. But that's not guaranteed.
