IMO it has a direct impact too...

I can still remember clearly in my very first Season... I did try to build a team that is competitive to Win the league... but to my surprise... it is the opposite of what I have suspected on how this Development/Managerial game... Beginners should sell their players and just leave 8... They are to Lose this way... and what a boring way to start a Competitive/Sport Managerial game.

But with the Suggestion above... plus the Merchandising Bonus for the newly created Teams. They can now have a choice to Win all Games while building their Arena.

Agreed. Starting in D.II or D.III is much different than starting in D.IV. Heck this is my 2nd stint with BB. I remember my 1st team starting in D.V (31000)

I'm going to chime in that I too think it's ridiculous how much real life time it takes to build up your arena and savings before you can make a good run.

If you're a new player, chances are you try to be competitive right away and then when your team burns out, you realize how long it will take for you to become competitive and quit (happened to me the first time I joined)

If you're a returning player, you have to be REALLY dedicated to get through the boring parts of this game while playing with bots and low-level teams that don't understand the mechanics to the game well yet.

Arena building makes sense when everybody starts out at the same time, like the beginning of this game or the beginning of utopia. I can only imagine there are many managers out there not buying utopia teams because they don't want to drudge through a year of babysitting a new team before it becomes fun.

Haven't seen that user name since CourtRivals, over a decade ago...!

On topic, I've started again about 2 months ago and am already at a decent sized arena in Div III.

I think this issue is one that arises more in IV, as you say - it's easy to get enough attendance in II and III to have plenty of cash for your arena, but the money in IV is very very tight.

i don't see much of a difference between income from division III and division IV. at least i'd say you make about the same (or slightly more) by having a winning season on div IV than having a bumpy season on div III.

not only in terms of arena btw. you can get less merchandise income in div III than on div IV depending on your winning record. the only real difference is tv money, but it's not a huge impactful difference.

I'm not so sure - I currently get between 130-140k in attendance each week. I can't imagine that's possible in IV - and I've only had this team for a couple of months.

Cant agree more, you are exactly right.

BB isnt a game for generation grinder.

And by the way, it isnt too hard build an adequate arena (15k or more) within 4 seasons (1 RL year) and develop some good players (U21 level!).

founded in S3 IV.5 (34234) - returned in S28 IV.7
