I think I'll drop in and give my opinion, but be warned it is no truth, just how I as a manager think it works:

when you loose you best man, and you only have 1 best man and the rest is considerably less good, but all about the same in skills, you might want to turn up the speed. Why? when playing slow you take your time to find your best man to score many points, so when that man is lacking, you might as well play faster because you don't need to find any specific player, they are all equally good and can score the same.

Against a better defense: also turn up the pace. If you go slow, and the other's defense is good (too good for you attack), you'll run out the clock many times and this results in bad quality shots. If you go fast you get more attempts, and at the end of the game you will have more points (even if you shoot the same %, but it is likely your % will be higher as well since you're not struggling against that clock). Note: This has nothing to do with inferior or superior attack of your opponent, I'm just talking about his defense!!

Against his defense: well you will just have to try to put the best possible defense to stop as much points from your opponent as possible, and then hope you did the right thing in your offense and scored more points than your opponent.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

mothe shooting position are pretty similiar, and defence against run and gun works against motion too ...

Motion is a bit slower, and in my eyes slow tactics are a bit weaker then faster ones -but the bb like to change things about it in the next season.

I think motion is better for teams with players who have high jump shot, while run and gun might be better for players with high jump range.

At least this is the parameter I use when deciding to select my players for each tactic... and it worked prety well so far. So please don't tell my opponents ;)

at this point there is a slight advantage to teams that play faster. This is going to change soon, as declared by the developers. I don't know how exactly thet are going to reduce this advantage (more TO, lower shooting %), but at this point I agree that faster pace is almost always the better option.

There are many fast pace tactis. Look inside increases pace as well and let you play with your PF and C players while Run and Gum seems to be tactic only good when you have small players with a good offensive skills.

What about full court press? Is it good to use it against a better team or a worse team i.e. when you do not want to risk loose of the game?

I am noob in this game. I've tried 2-3 and 3-2 so far and 2-3 is much better even if opponent scores a lot from distance. You gain more rebounds.
Cheers.

I do have very goog shooters/OS with JS from 12-15 (starters aswell as backups).
Im considering to play run and gun more often next season.

Is it a problem when my opponent plays a 3-2 defence or will my coach notice that and switch to midrange shots instead of shooting outside?
Or is it better to play push the ball in those games although my Inside players dont have better IS than 9-11 atm?
