true on all accounts... it all balances out... I've been investing 10k for 3 seasons and 0 the last one... so after 4 drafts I've spent a total of 420k and earned after selling untrained fresh draftees a total of 1.358M... I trained two players that I got from draft and sold them for a total of 2.4M... and I still have two draftees from my first season here playing for me, one of which is my best player.
So to sum it up, I've spent 420k and earned 3.76M and two players that still play for me... it all balances out and with a bit of smart market placement and training, most of the draftees can be sold... at least for a total of 150k...

You missed one VERY IMPORTANT thing :)
That is that you are not top level league! And all that players you drafted when you were 3th lvl division!!!!

You missed VERY IMPORTANT thing. You finished 5-th in the league and you want a all time great in draft??? You got a good pick out of you're first round.
Let's compare with NBA 30 teams, average of 3 picks are high on talent. Depending on year sometimes it's more sometimes even the first pick sucks. So basically that's 10% of the teams. Transfer that to BB and you get 1.6 picks. 2 top picks should be good (and that's in every division) every draft. I am pretty sure every division in BB get's atleast 2 good enough picks every draft. Now if noone is putting money into scouting you could steal one of those picks even while finishing high in a season. My first season I had a league full of nubs, I picked 2 MVP-s. Last year I finished 1-st and just missed on the best player in my draft. Because of others also contributing a little to scouting.
So my suggestion to you. If you want a top pick in you're league. Lose a lot of games, come last in you're season and scout for 40k. This way you are sure to get that great player. You just have to pray that you do not have the Kenyon Martin, draft year:)

You are wrong once again. If you dont believe me, ask some GM and they will explain to you. If you are in higher league the chance for getting excellent draft player is lower and lower. In 4th, and 3th level leagues at least 2 of 3 drafted players are "solid" (not matter which draft position you have). In top level league you got 1 "solid" player in 3 seasons!!!
That's the difference what I talking about!

In germany they are several NT prospects from the first division, but the quality of draft differs per league and season ...

Top draft of the german first league this season:

Wasn't that bad, and i believe last season they was one U21 player out of div one, and at this time we have scouted all 4 divisions.

Maybe the image get a bit weird, because the draft aren't instantly at an top level and the teams have higher requirement for their training.

And in low leagues you have better chanche for an inactive league, which gives the active teams most likely good draft and those are the team who complain in the forum.

My personal favorit for the draft lucker award of this season is this team, with 2 incredible draft and a really solid third one (26392).

No that's not the main reason! Even if you are in top lvl league there is BIG chance for getting one of your best picks (last season I was scouted 11 players with max skill quality, and I was 12th draft position...that mean something about 77%).
But that is not problem! Draft players in higher league usually have lower potential, and even if their skills are solid, then they are 19 years old! That's my experience.

I'm not talking about lower divisions. I was in 3th divison and I have friend there, and in 4th too... every draft for them is like Christmas where everyone get presents what they wanted :P
But in top league that is almost impossible that someone get great player from draft :P It happens, but very very rarely :(

could you prove that, i look since three season on the most draft in my country and don't see that evidence. I see good and bad leagues, but these on both end of the quality of the leagues.

Afaik the BB said the draft is same for the leagues, and even if they don't the difference shouldN#t be that big. Really you see more III division draft who are awesome, but don't forget there are around 10 times more teams in the third then in in the first division(not every land has team in league three, and this is a very rough estimate which could be far away from reality).

not to mention that having leagues with 5 division levels fully active and giving them each a hall of famer or all-time great would create an even bigger gap in the national teams competitions...

So what is the result?
-4 seasons in top league, from 12 possible players only one was good, and one looks like good but P,H and A are bad!


Now I have checked my friends from 3th, and 4th lvl league... and all 3 drafted players are good! One is excellent if I can see (A,P,H), and other 2 are also good enough. Can you show me one team from 3th or 4th lvl league who has fired at last 2 of 3 drafted players? ;)

the one you got now, 19 years and star potential and 203 is similar to one I had, and built it up to a sensational stat, a couple of prominent, has great secondary skills...
don't ignore him just because he's a star
and yeah, a friend of mine, last season, fired all 3, season before that he was in div 4 and fired 1, sold two for less than 100k total I think...
so yeah, it happens desava se

I can see 2 superstars drafted in season 7 and 3 superstars in season 6. I believe none of you are spending any bucks on scouting, that's why you're draft picks are so scattered around. If you are not spending any money on scouting you can spend it on the young players other people draft and sell. Not every league has to have 10 MVP+. It's called random, just like getting draft info. Sometimes draft is good and sometimes it's crap.
