i thought it's simple... but i'll explain...

They only need to beat everyone else other than USA and Canada to make 3rd...

It is a good strategy to cut their losses, give the game up, give up the game vs USA as well, get a decent enthusiasm and win everything else, then go for 2nd chances...

because they already screwed up... and after that CT they had a very small chance at winning this game... so they regain their enthusiasm now EXACTLY to be able to beat Uruguay and the others... After the mess in first game, they can't realistically expect to auto-qualify... cut losses and go for second round...

Wasn't an episode of Corner Gas about this very topic?

Actually I think that was an episode of Little Mosque on the Prairie. I could see how it would be confusing though.

The brazilian coach selected "TIE" against Ecuador, obviously. No other attitude would have been logical. We were all shocked when we saw the CT, as anyone else. The BB's said that there is no bug, that it must have been a "mouse wheel error", so we just believed in them and accepted that explanation without any complaints.

It was very unfortunate and no one is more upset about it them brazilians and our coach himself. But not even the brazilian community is crucifying him. People make mistakes. I think it's ridiculous for other people here to call him a "clown" or an "idiot", but I guess some people never change. You don't even know the guy. So we, the decent, honest, reasonable players of this game, would appreciate if you (people that were disrespecting GM-Leonan) would refrain from displaying your arrogance, rudeness, and lack of politeness and sensibility.

Hey, while I did call him a clown (and based on that game I stand by it..) nobody called him an idiot. Somebody did say idiotic management... which can't say is inaccurate...

That is not acceptable management.

Sure, we are told there was a mistake... Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. The action, the management of the game... was idiotic. Was it intended or not?... Who will ever know? But the fact stands

What YOU classify as "not acceptable management" is not necessarily the golden standard around here. And the point is that there is no argument or reason to justify disrespect. Especially towards people you don't even know.
