In response to this question that you have posed:

Improved communication. Do I feel slighted the Poudrier was dropped from the U21 team? Hmmm. Not really. Were there better options? Yes - at the time there were better options. But, when a player is chosen and then dropped without reason - then I have questions because of lack of communication.

Therefore, you need to communicate to the teams who are training your U21 players and what is expected to improve their player for the NT, or at the very least, let the trainer of the player know why a change has taken place.

I don't see any proof that you would do better. I have never seen any posts from you on the forums until now. I didn't see you volunteer to help with scouting or anything else for that matter.

My suggestion is that if you want to be the NT or U21 manager, get more involved with the community first. I'm not going to vote for you if you only show up at election time. But that's just me, maybe others will have different opinions.

- This may be a question to ask Paulo.

I have never seen any posts from you on the forums until now.

- I rarely post on forums, but do read them quite often. Whether it is Hattrick, Battrick or Buzzerbeater, I look at the forums put choose not to participate. My campaign runs during the election hours...not during the rest of the season when the proverbial "Bench Jockeys" are telling our NT managers how they would run the ship.

I didn't see you volunteer to help with scouting or anything else for that matter.

- Another question to ask Paulo. I would prefer not to post BB mail correspondence as proof, but will if need be to prove the scouting portion.

My suggestion is that if you want to be the NT or U21 manager, get more involved with the community first.

- Again, if the way to win the election is to run an "unofficial campaign" through the rest of the season by posting on the forums...it won't happen from this side.

I'm not going to vote for you if you only show up at election time.
- Your choice.

But that's just me, maybe others will have different opinions.

I'm looking for proof that you would put a commitment in and that you can communicate with the community. It is easy for someone to say they are going to do it in an election campaign. It is quite another thing to actually do it.

Participating in the forums and volunteering to help the coaches when they ask for help (like RIP has done with scouting, etc) would go a long way towards showing what you're made of.

How is Paulo going to answer any of that for me?

@ RIP88,

The newchuckd says "I don't see any proof that you would do better." Yes. How can Paulo do better than what he has already done...if you consider what he has accomplished to be a success.

"You've run in every single Canadian election except for one and you've never won. Ever think to ask yourself why?" - Just as in Hattrick, Battrick, HockeyArena, Buzzerbeater etc. If you don't spend time offering opinions in the forum during other times of the season, you stand little chance of winning an election. That is the truth. The idea among some members is that, if you aren't interested in participating in the forum, then you aren't interested in running the NT. That is complete BS.

Commitment - As a BB Supporter, I have made a financial commitment to the game. I have created and organized the public league that I play in. I began playing BB in season 2 and I am still here playing the game.

@thenewchuckd -

Again, participating in forums is trivial...but important to the mindset of some that it gets your name out and recognized among those in the country. I read the forums, but choose not to respond (most of the time). When we elect someone to run, let them do their job.

As far as volunteering is concerned, I offered my input to Paulo when he first took the reigns with respect to player selection - specifically helping to find Canadians playing abroad.

That was more along the lines of what I was looking for.

However, if you want to get elected, you've got to get your name recognized. I don't see any way around that. It is the community who votes, after all.

Maybe if you won the BBB or the National Tournament 3 years in a row I could overlook that I don't know you. However, your team has not had great success for a team that started in season 2.

You have, in fact, been playing about a month longer than Paulo. He has been in Naismith for quite some time. You are not quite there yet.

That depends on how you want to measure things.

In fact...we beat Paulo's team in our only encounter.

Our league record in that time has been 88-45.

Question is this, and this is to how most play the game, what are your objectives?

I could probably sell off my trainee Poudrier for $2.5 million plus and help my club in other areas, while continuing to train players with Inside D, Inside Scoring etc. to improve the front court. Poudrier is close to being with the NT, and, is still receiving training which can't be said for some of the players ahead of him on the NT roster.

So...I have put my interests in training a center over the results of the club. I know that. Therefore, we probably won't be to the Naismith for a few more years as I plan to sell of some trainees again in this early season.

As you can see from my transfer record, I am interested in buying players cheaply, training them, and then selling them for profit. The cash will continue to come and the wins will come later.

I think that no one makes it to Naismith without doing that. Also, this is not HT where the best strategy is to stay in the lower divisions on purpose.

You beat Paulo by one point back in season 4... I also note that you had home court advantage. Not exactly a fair comparison.

Finally, the competition in II.2 is nothing like Naismith. Most of your games should be easy wins for a team that has been around as long as you.
