Last season they said rookies could be from 18-22 but I don't recall seeing a rookie above 19 yrs old.

I just opened a thread (45569.1) with a post that relates to this thread one year old therad. However, the thread was closed by GM-JuicePats with a link to this thread and no explanation, but I guess he means that I should move my suggestion to this thread, so here it is (together with following comments):

(45569.1) :
I would like to get infromations from my scouts continuoulsy, i.e. information should be added week by week, rather than in a big chunk at the end of the season.

I think this would have several advantages:

* It would add soem escitement every week to see the scouting results from that particular week

* You could adapt during the year, increasing scouting if you think your prospects are too bad or decreasing if you think you have enough information

* It would be easier for new users to understand what they are investing in, as they would get continuous information

* In the future the system could become more elaborate so you can tell your scouts what to look for depending on the information you already have (for instance check potential for a player that has been scouted once or scout a new player).

Answer by CrazyEye in (45569.2):

This is the reason, why they don't implement it the BB are afraid that you spend more money because your friend find a 18 year old A+ % StarPotential player or maybe 2 two of them.

My answer in (45569.3):
That sounds like a strange motivation for me.

As long as their is some incertainty in he souting it does not help you very much to know that your friend has scouted a player that his scouts consider to be an A+ starpotential. Of course it s still helpful to know that there is someone that the other teams souts consider to be that, but still it is not a lot different fom two friends that share information about e.g. TIEs.

Then I do not hink it is very likely that someone would like to give away information about a potential star as they most likely would like to get the chance ti keep that star by themself, and giving information to their friend would dcrease the likelihood of getting that player without getting anything in return.

As is standard procedure, that is correct.

Ok, if closing threads and linking to a one old threads with no explanation is standard procedure, then fair enough*.

----
* However it feels like it makes the forums (suddenly there are two related issues listed, thus putting some other topic away from the list) and threads (e.g. people that you want to reply to might not be possible to reply to anymore) unnecessarily difficult to follow.

I posted this in another forum:

I see my option on the Training page for this week's spending, but nothing that shows how many 'scouting units' I can expect to have come draft day. This would be useful information to have access to.

This is an excellent idea.

It's always been standard procedure to close duplicate threads and link to the original.

Just a final note, I did not question if it was stabdard or not. I'm just questioning if it is a good way to get a readable forum. Of course if two similar threads are open at the same time it makes sence to merge them into one. But to merge a thread with a dead, one year old thread that treats another (related) issue, just makes it difficult to follow. Over and out on this issue.
