jesus, sparta. gunning for a playoff spot, much less avoiding relegation. now you have cowmen and eclipse to close out inter-conference play, which could well be 2 wins and a 9-6 record coming down the stretch. even then you might have to win 3 of your last 7, the way this is going. i don't know if 2 would keep you out of relegation. i'd bet an 11 win team will be in a relegation series. could see a 10 win team there as well, both from the red side. meanwhile, diamantes is not out of the woods, los angeles is still very much alive, and bucsblue has rhinos and frosty left. los angeles could pick up a win against crosstown and make things super interesting in the blue side. there is still absolutely still time to assert themselves and save themselves by snagging the 5 seed. this has been the most entertaining season of the last... i don't know how many seasons. maybe ever. most entertaining season i've ever been a part of, anyway. it's so tight up and down the board. all i can really see as separators are:
1. the tragic are blowing teams out
2. there are 3 competitive blue teams that separate themselves from the others, they're 1 2 and 3, but that could be in ANY order.
3. it's hard to see crosstown overcoming a 3 game deficit and the point differential. basically need to win 4 MORE games than svj, or 5 MORE than ballstars or sparta. i'd be surprised to see them pick up 4 more wins on the season, though i don't think 3 is unmanageable.
that's about all the real separators. even cowmen would be kinda competitive if they were healthy. they may still steal a game or 2 before it's all said and done. a couple cowmen wins would really shake things up, and it could very well happen.
