Just a bit of clarity for you.

Vs Fat we both Normalled. Yep I normalled - he has god bigs and my key small forward Grothe was out with injury and my backups are shit. I should have got the win anyway with even enthusiasm but for poor strategy having Hemmati in the wrong position at C instead of at PF and matched on Duffil. His SF also got off in that game due the aforementioned injury.

vs you I TIE'd. Yes one for da fish over da fat!! They were both back and in proper positions and were key contributors in the win. Hemmati played much better at PF. Sorry about the timing that truly sucks for you but in terms of strategy sometimes we make mistakes and sometimes we learn from them in this league.

My payroll is a mirage my team is just not good. I have signed a 373k C but take him off and I am battling for lowest payroll in the league with pwned - and as someone has stated Hemmati's salary is unsustainable in this league so he is gone within weeks. I take wins where wins are possible knowing for the first time in my 13 seasons in this league I will not be making the playoffs.

Just think about that last statement 13 seasons in Division II.1 playoffs. Yep I have seen 13 teams promote over me to ABBL and have never felt the thrill of promotion that both you and da fat have experienced. Of course I have also never been demoted and will do all I can to avoid it.

Sometimes I was just unlucky - being put in the same conference as Crocs, O Magic, etc, or Holtz playing dirty on my players before the playoffs ;P , but sometimes my team just wasn't up to scratch. Every season I pick myself back up off the floor and try again - and you know what...it is great that so many opponents are back and we get to renew our rivalries even if I may as well be league II.1's doormat.

I am not eyeing on number one spot but it does make losing feel good when everyone else lost too lol. If you keep on doing crunch time like this, I might TIE in our match LOL.

Also, for the record, Maggots didn't TIE me, I CT'd them. Huzzah for the unlikely win!

Is getting a win over the person currently number 1 on the ladder that important to you, There are better teams on my side, I am just keeping the top spot warm for someone else.

You call it a unlikely win, I'd call it a stupid move on your behalf, it mean's nothing for you to beat me, we wont even play each other again this season. you look like you are in the relegation area and how many win's is that CT going to cost you in the next few games. The loss mean's nothing to me either, I'm new to Div 2 and i am not going for promotion because there are other team's here a lot better than me, I'm doing what most others here are doing trying to get enough win's to not get relegated.

I wouldn't say its a stupid move man, RM needs all the win he can get at the moment because he's in a tight spot. Tho I agree with you about using C.T. RM needs to be more cautious on that.


On a different topic, since you mentioned to avoid relegation, we're 8 wins down, we need another 3 or 4 to stay afloat, I think I've set me target for that 3-4 wins already. Can we do it? yes we can!

hehe, I am feeling quite comfortable at the moment but I guess when second half comes, that 3 wins can be hard to find. We'll probably see some unexpected crunch time aswell.

For Big 8, I think it should be 8-9 wins?

First you put me in the group that should promote this year or next. Then you post the roster salaries where I am 16th by $60k. Then I'm fighting to avoid relegation and should be going for it against a team that was dominating my conference at will... Make up your mind!

Now, with my $60k deficit to 15th place I probably should sell my entire roster and buy 30 year olds with mega salaries, but to me instant success is never on my agenda. My team is set up to have a long run in div 2 (if i can get through this season) as opposed to others who tank and buy bulk mature players and rely on promotion. I have a strategy in place which I am confident will have me as a real competitor in another 2-3 seasons, but understand that I have to choose my games carefully and don't have as much time on my hands as yourself to check what teams are doing what to others. I had to make a judgement call on who to go against. I overestimated fat boy and underestimated your defense... I'm sorry you find that offensive but as the small fish in league I am recieving much more love than you would expect with much stronger teams that should tie me playing normal. I don't take offence to that. I realize that they have to win easy games and can't rely on tie to beat me... If they did I would probably be out of relegation with the lowest salary here...

What I'm saying is that CT should be only used as a last resort to save your self from relegation and to CT a team that has no effect to him is stupid. You are better to CT a team that you are competing for 5th spot to save your self from relegation.

Have a look at my conference. If I hadn't won that game, I'd be bottom. I identified it as a game I could win by CT'ing and so I did it. You can call it a stupid move but if you were in the stronger conference you may not be saying that.
