My mystical fairy-land answer: I will ask them nicely and they will apologize to me, hire a level 7 trainer, and train SB to 22. With 9 GS.

Realistically, we're not. You can just hope stars align and you get a manager with the right mix of resources to keep him in good GS. It's not a million-in-one chance, but occasionally having a good prospect in poor GS is immensely frustrating.

by looking at last years team, i think we have enough talent to win it all. the only problem was the gameplan of the coach. if i'm elected, i will make sure that the gameplan fits the team.

I'm hoping you are sarcastic? If not I'm sure life under the rock was a bit lonely. We won world's last season. Those players are gone. Any questions?

Question for the candidates:

Rambo has a very nice new thread on the offsite listing season 19 (next worlds) prospects. Without looking at the thread (you're on your honor!) name as many of the players as you can off the top of your head.

Question for all candidates. Lately, we have seen a lot of the best prospects in the US hit the transfer list because the owner can not afford their salary (Owens, Bland Luther, exc).

I don't think this is a big problem with U21. Last season, we only had Felder go on sale while on the team, and we did lose him the rest of the season due to GS issues. Just bad luck I guess. Owens and Bland caused financial troubles for their owners because they held them long term. While it's difficult to hold some of the U21 bigs for the U21 season, most teams usually manage for the season. You'll see a lot of guards (Luther for example) get too expensive in the 22 and 23 year old seasons, but it's not a huge concern for U21.

How do you plan on trying to get the best prospects to trust-worthy managers that can handle high salaries?

Not much you can do. Obviously, a transfer ad will be posted on the off-site, so people will be aware of the sale, but that's about it. It's pretty much on the guy that wants him to outbid everyone else. Can't help there.

I would disagree with this. It may seem that way, but remember, there's only 80 teams in the NBBA and D.II combined, while there are 256 in D.III and 1024 in D.IV. In the NBBA alone, Coco had B-Rod for the U21 season, Calum is still training Owens, cws has Hurst, jfarb's got Logsdon, Silverbacks trained Dennison, Rambo is training Rex Perez, and made a serious attempt at purchasing Carson. Czobo trained Ugona, Namssor bought an 18 year old prospect last season and started training... I'm sure I forgot some, but you get the idea.

By the end of last season we seemed to get away from using "blank" lineups. What are your feelings on blank lineups and how do you plan on using them if at all?

I know that someone else already covered this but this fail needs more than 1 response. How are we gonna elect a U21 coach who doesn't even know we won the championship last season? Epic fail, dude.

It takes balls to run for an election for a team you know absolutely nothing about.

I personally do not like to use blank lineups. I do not plan to use them very much if I use them at all.
