Hey, just letting everyone know that I just took the opportunity and bought back a previously sold draftee Taavi Ummelas (53184526) with a salary of 10230$. That improves my top-8 salary by a little bit to 251K and raises the average age of my top-8 to 23,8y.

Thanks again for information, LennuK.

Due to this, I've now finally updated informative participating teams-listings on both Official Threads, and updated 'Salary benefit and transfers'-post here: (327516.4).

We are out of room (character limitation seriously reached), so no more transfers allowed on Season 2! ;)
I'm just kidding of course, but that just describes how much more content there is in that post compared to HGL Season 1.

I have kept also original 'start of the season 2'-salary information in those team information-posts, as I think it would be best to use that value if and when we calculate Top8 salary and age changes from S2 to S3 at the beginning of S3 (and we can then include for example * or something after a team name, if the salary change is partly due to transfers during previous season, and not only due to training/declining development of players).

I´m totally aware that this is almost 100% off-topic, but....
as FIBA Basketball European Championships is just behind the corner, I think it would be interesting thought/question to all current "HGL countries", that what kind of expectations do you have for your real national teams?
And to take a look at the question from slightly another angle/view, I wonder which country (that has representation in HGL currently) has got the highest success expectations for their national team in European Championships? :)

Finland, anyone? ;)
But in all honesty, of course if our countries would meet during playoffs, yours would be a significant favorite.

However, what I like in this current tournament format, is that it's a 'one match decides it all'-playoff format, and for example Poland was able to shock everyone previously by ending 4th in the whole Championship competition (which, in addition to many other Polish people, must have been a great moment of joy for Rajdersi's Paul George!).

Sure, I would be happy to provide these statistics for the beginning of the next season and then only use the starting salary from this season

We just had our main center and arguably one of the most important players ruled out from the championship due to injury, which really severs our chances get really far. I would hope that we come through the group, although we have several really good nations on the group, especially Serbia and Latvia. So to summarize, getting through the group, and maybe advancing from the next round as well, would be my personal expectations

yeah it was shock for everyone
this time we might be not that lucky

I want to report one change in my roster.
(52882440) was sold so:

new top8 salary is 331967$ (old was 342193$) -please check that

Why did I sell him? I need to cut expenses, other perimeter players have simillar level so 26k$ saved each week.
In important games like BBM,HGL he didnt reached top8 squad so....

Thanks very much LennuK., I'm very glad to hear that. Not only because it takes away some of the workload, but also because it's nice to see some managers might be willing to help by doing some work that serves the whole HGL community. :)

As for using asterisks (after a team name if transfers have taken place during previous season, which data is used in next seasons' calculations) to differentiate teams from teams whose salary development (up or down) has happened "organically", it also serves teams who have sold players.

EDIT: For example in Rajdersi's case here, this selling of a player would otherwise be seem as a negative TOP8-salary development (as we are using values from beginning of each season), but now if/as we will use some kind of marking system (such an asterisk after a dollar value on the comparison table), we can easily see just by looking at that table if that salary development (again, positive or negative) is due to any transfers (purchases, or sold or fired players) during last season.

Yes, even that is not perfect nor totally simple solution, as
A) that asterisk itself wouldn't even reveal if team would've gained or lost salary due to transfer(s), and
B) sometimes players that are out of top8 are being sold/fired, and then it wouldn't even affect top8-salaries...should team still be marked with asterisk if they sell/fire outside of top8, and if not, what kind of system should be developed to ensure only teams with top8-salary transfers would be marked (as memorizing these kind of things afterwards proves to be challenging)... Not your headache of course, but just a small example of it that sometimes easy things can be made difficult. ;)

It is going to be tougher this time, I also believe... Plus you don't anymore have that same kind of "surprise element" in your back pocket, as everyone remembers Poland as a team that caused a big shock last time.
However, if you would be 4th again, I believe that promises good things to Finland (position 3rd or better) based on result of couple of very recent Poland vs. Finland friendly-matches. ;D

Thanks for roster change information Paul George, I'll be updating appropriate posts quite soon.
And yes, I definitely understand that business aspect of it, as my team is suffering severe financial losses each week (due to my recent, somewhat extreme goals what becomes to drafting own players and keeping them in the roster).

Thanks for your response!
That would be a huge setback for most teams, and likely will have a toll on Estonia's chances to proceed as far as you'd like to see them proceeding. Your group definitely has a lot of quality teams playing in it (also Turkey), but I think you guys will have a good chance to fight for at least from 4th position against Czech Repuplic.
Currently betting agency gives an odd 3,15 for Estoania advancing from group stage to Round of 16 (while Czech is simultaneously receiving odd 1,40), so I suppose there´s some challenge in group stage already, but it's definitely doable from Estonian standpoint. :)
And come playoff time (Round of 16 and beyond), everything is possible in a one game!

Hello !

As I wrote before, I was preparing some excel-sheet in order to compare me team to the others, and my team vs my own country's teammates.

A picture is better than words so, this is the very simple sheet :

(but I don't remember how to write the code in order to watch the picture :/ )
(please help !)
