The box and one is legal in the NBA, as long as the defensive three second rule is not violated. It's just not very effective at the pro level.

What is your point? Rashard Lewis would be respectable range at worst, I don't want my inept reange PF or Center jacking up 3s... The game engine needs to be smarter.

so would a 2-3 zone or a box and 1 defense be better for stopping a team's big men?

2-3 zone is a bad choice to defend inside isolation(or even LI)... It doesnt stop the big men's, and you will see how he score you from the outside.

i made different experience with it, u just get trouble if you face an outside attack.

I also made it and in general i always suffered when I used the 2-3... It's a pretty weak zone, the 3-2 zone compared to the 2-3 works better(I mean if you face an outside attack, 3-2 works better than if you face and inside attack and you put 2-3).

I always preferred to defend the best inside attack of this game in man to man than in 2-3(and the one we tried we lost the game).

Maybe the 2-3 zone works in lower divisions, but on matchs like B3, NT matchs etc it's always a trouble.

I just hope the inside box defense is good enough to be played.

I don't think so, but the 3-2 is lot stronger when the opponent didn't play like you expected.

I used the 2-3 today again, and i think a blowout against this team(he fights back a bit) away with less effort isn't a bad result, especially when the only sf is fouled out.

Also my other match with this zone this and last season was really bad when they hit it, thx to bb manager the games are easy to find ;)
