Sublevels are definitely included in the salary formula. Otherwise, it should be possible to predict a players' salary almost perfectly using the coachparrot. Still there is about 10% variance in salaries for seemingly identical players, which stem from the subskills.

There isn't anything wrong with randomness, that's real life. Real life can be random and unexpected.

No, I don't think so. I wasn't trying to say that anyway. Although, sublevels do affect salary. My point was only that even getting a full pop in a core skill doesn't necessarily mean a wage increase these days.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I have another question...some skills train faster and some slower. So let's say you have two PG that have same skills and same height. One week you train one in JR which would normally go up for, let's say 0.4. Next week you train other PG in Passing which normally goes up for 0.5 .

So this means first PG received 0,36 in JR and 0,04 in another skill while second PG received 0,45 in PA and 0,05 in another skill?

Probably yes, both are 90% of the full speed, but no-one knows.

Your opinion is very welcome, it's different from mine.

I think BB is a game, not real life, it has enough randomness, I didn't want anymore randomness in an aspect of the game like training. You like it, I see nothing particularly bad about it.

What do you want, that I tell you that you're right?

There was a very nice post somewhere about the fact that in order to increase the realism of the game additional random events will be added, something like "The cheerleaders are particularly hot these days -> your players get distracted and underperform or undertrain"...

It's a game, it's not reality. It's supposed to be fun, your idea of fun is different from mine. Can't you people accept that different opinions exist on this planet? Are you compulsively pushed by some inner force to try to convince the others that they're wrong? Grow up!

It is a game, but it already has a feature which many games do not have, which is that the players don't really know the rules, but have to figure them out from experience. They don't publish the rates at which things train, as it is, for instance, but leave us to figure them out. Playing this game assumes a certain acceptance that things aren't going to work in a predictable fashion, so I think the developers can assume their players are already pre-selected to have a tolerance for that sort of thing.

If this game didn't resemble basketball at all, not very many people would be playing it either. All things being equal, approaching reality is a good thing. Of course there's balance in terms of making it a good game as well.

It's not the change I would have made; I would rather have people not in the positions being trained get some training, which would really mess with people's attempts to stop players from developing to keep them under the salary cap. I think managing salary cap by withholding training is kind of bogus anyway, it's pretty anti-thematic. However, it's required by another odd mechanic, which is that everyone has a one year contract. If you had a guy on a 5 year contract, you'd train him to the max and not worry about it.

In the end, it's just 10%. It's not a huge deal, it's a tweak. There are things much more annoying than cross-training in this game, and yet it's still quite fun. I think on the whole I actually like it, but it's not big enough for me to even feel strongly that way.

Yes and no.

If you have something that works, don´t change it for something random. This is the point of the mayority of our claims.

If you train FT and you get a pop in OD (for example), it´s a facepalm!

I just wonder if with this new training system will it be possible to have up to 4,5 or maybe even 6 pops in different skills in 1 week ?...Of course all the circumstances would have to be at maximum close rate.Since 3-4 pops were possible before,then what is possible now? huh i guess we have to give it some time to find out what really goes on in tha city :)
