Wow, Denver has been scoring all the way to the 8th seed currently. Congrats. That is not a sign of depth as much as it is a sign of no "go to guy". Good luck winning without one of those. Of course like I said, Denver is the current 8th seed, BUT they have so much depth....lol. All hail mediocrity throughout the roster!

You don't get how to put together a team, do you? Players need roles and teams need different parts. You don't need 9 goes that score 9 points. Nobody wins championships that way, NOBODY. The Thunder has great depth, and the right kind of depth. Some scoring, some defense, a 3pt threat, and some energy/glue guys.

I'm not asking you to understand because you obviously don't understand the NBA. Not to mention the fact that you incorrectly touted Harrington's numbers over Harden's....something you could have easily looked up. Makes no sense....

the Detroit Pistons of 2003-2004 won a championship with a team just like denvers silly

Plus you are so hypocritical when you complain about how i "touted" Harrington's numbers over Hardens, but YOU are too lazy to even realize/lookup that Denver is a 7th seed and tied for the 6th seed. not an 8th seed. See look? We can both complain about stupid things but it isn't going to get us anywhere. Clearly if i don't understand understand the NBA, then you don't either. If you watch any NBA/ESPN specialist or announcer they will say the same thing that I have been saying about them. Not enough scorers on their team. Not enough Depth. I am done with this now. I feel like we will make no progress regardless so we might as well just cool off and drop the conversation. Sound good?

If I was a fan of another team, I'd hate the lakers. Whew, thank God I am not a Sonics or Nuggets fan. By the way Stauder, how long till the Thunder suck and everyone in OKC stop going to the games? Get ready for the Birmingham Tornados, coming to your arena fall of 2022.

This topic is lame as hell. Seems that Stauder is the only guy that knows anything about The Association.

You just named a bunch of lesser versions of Thunder players. Wow, you and EWB can be ignorant together.

I never said they were better. I agree that their worse, the only players better are Barea over Reggie Jackson and Randolph over Mohammad/ Aldrich. It's just that their not that much better. A top bench would be quite a bit better than a middle of the road bench such as the Wolves.

We can agree to disagree, sure. However, I'll agree to agree with people who cover the NBA for a living. Last time I checked guys like Sefalosha don't make all defensive teams because they are trash. Hope you watched the game tonight. Perkins guarded J Terry on the perimeter tonight and forced an airball that ended in a shot clock violation. Perk is not an offensive player, but is a great defensive player and rebounder. Again, the proof is in the pudding. Celtics are repeat champs if he plays game 7. Period. You think it's a coincidence the Celtics haven't been as good since that trade?

Harden should NOT be the starter. Do you not see guys like Terry, Ginobli, Odom for LA last season, that come off the bench and score? Bench points are more valuable than having him start with RW and KD. He finishes in the 4th quarter when it matters and actually plays D unlike Al "nobody will keep me longer than 2 seasons" harrington.

Then you fail to even acknowledge guys like Collison that consistently rebound, take charges, and play great defense coming off the bench. Not to mention that he is one of the best screen setters in the league.

So let me see. The Thunder have a top 5 PG, the best pure scorer, the best shot blocker, the best 6th man, an all nba defender, and a top 5 post defender as their top 6 players. Then you throw in the best depth at post in the league in collison/mohammed/aldrich and you are telling me there is no depth?

You must be a Lakers fan....they are all ridiculous.

1. Of course the C's are worse, they traded for Jeff Green, who just so happens to be out for the season.
2.What does having Westbrook, Ibaka and Durant have to do with bench depth?
3. The best post depth in the league has to go to Portland. Marcus Camby, Joel Pryzbilla, Kurt Thomas, and when healthy Greg Oden. I've watched a ton of Cole Aldrich's games over the last 7 years and I don't think he's better than any of these guys( right now) Pryzbilla is a guy a lot like Collison that will do the dirty work, and Camby is a stat sheet stuffer. Right now he averages 4 PTs, nearly 10 boards, 2 asts, and 2 blks a game.

I also never said OKC has no depth, just tht their not one of the best benches in the league like you say.

So they just resign Pryzbilla off the welfare line, and Oden has played in 2 seasons. Camby is solid, but starts quite often and Thomas is old old old. The guys you named for Portland are terrible.

Aldrich is not special, but name someone who has a better 5th big guy? Collison is far better than Pryzbilla btw.

As for the others, I talked about every bench player as well, however depth is from top to bottom, not just from the bench. Nobody ever said "bench depth to start the argument"...

First off, Denver was the 8th seed yesterday. When they won late they moved up to the 7th seed. So that's not actually hypocritical at all.

The fact that you just compared the 2003-2004 Pistons to the Nuggets is sickening. Are you just trying to get a reaction or you just don't like to admit you are wrong? Denver is all about running and playing offense. That Detroit team was one of the best defensive teams of the past 20 years. They had a great 6 year run to the conference finals at least and would have won back to back titles had Rasheed not helped off of Robert Horry to hit the game winner for the Spurs....then SA won the next game and the title. How are the Nuggets like the Pistons? The Pistons had a GREAT floor leader in Billups that also hit big shots. Lawson doesn't come close to Billups. Then they had some of the best length defensively you could imagine. Big PG, very long armed SF in Prince, Sheed at PF, and Big Ben at C. The nuggets can't even spell defense....of course they can't spell their leading scorers last name either. The only resemblance is the fact that Detroit spread out the scoring a little bit. So Detroit won a championship without a true "superstar" (although billups and hamilton are both multi-year all-stars) but had a bunch of guys better than what Denver had. Plus they were a defensive team which is completely opposite.

I am not sure what you have been watching about the Thunder, but almost everyone says they are the West favorites and after the heat they also think OKC has the next best shot to win it.

Now let me do what you do to try and get the last word.

Hey man, we both realize that you don't know anything about basketball so let's just drop this okay? Sound good? Please don't tell me I'm wrong again even though I know I am...i just wanted to get a last jab in to make me feel tough? Okay? Please? PLEASE???

Alright bro, first off I'm not being a dick about it when i say can we stop talking about this, since the topic doesnt fit the thread like you were. Second, The Nuggets have been the 7th seed since sunday (When the Nuggets beat the Spurs and the Rockets lost to the Clippers), a day before you made that post so, no sir, you were either lying or mistaken. I forgive you though. Now whether you want to flame on about this for another week i dunno, but im done. I just look forward to next week when the Nuggets beat the Thunder and show them who is the boss.

They supported crappy teams for 4 years (2 hornets 2 thunder) before they had success. Sure it was new in town, but OKC has really taken to the Thunder. It would take a lot of losing to keep fans out of that arena. Luckily it probably won't happen anytime soon since they have the superstars locked up. I know it sounds crazy that OKC would support a loser, but when you have nothing else to support, why not? College basketball used to be big at OSU and OU, but people have gravitated to the NBA. It is actually amazing how quickly it turned into a Thunder town.

btw, right when the Lakers look like they are turning the corner, Kobe has back to back TERRIBLE nights and they fall to Washington and Detroit.
