Game of the week seems pretty simple. We've got almost a week to think about your pick.. (1) Flash Mashers @ (1) Liberty and Power. As things stand today, this would be the preview of the championship game.
What's really interesting is that this game is that it follows the All Star break, which can often times create a hit on Game Shape, and definitely brings a hit on enthusiasm. Thus, we really won't know who has the advantage in those areas until Friday after the GS update. Today though, while L & P may have a slight edge on salary, the Mashers have the advantage on both enthusiasm and game shape, as far as I can see.
L&P hasn't lost since Feb. 11, at Lengends. And it was only by 2. Meanwhile, the Mashers were only taken down by Ron Swanson. It was at home, but Swanson put out more effort (likely a CT). Both teams only losses were by 2 points.
The game is rightfully on TV, so along with the fact that it's a big game anyway, there's the fan survey boost to consider. So, I expect both teams to at least normal. The team ratings should fly through the roof in this game.
Honestly, I don't know who to go with. The Mashers only have 8 players on their roster, but none of them are making less than $20k a week. Chekreyes has done a great job managing game shape with so few players. L & P only have 6 players over 5K, but they also have a little more depth.
Given the Mashers have home court, and a game shape edge right now, I'm giving the early advantage to them. It will be interesting to see how everyone falls come Friday though..
