Great conference title game tonight between the Freaks and McMornings. Even with last year's league's MVP (Cody Neal) on the bench with 3 fouls—in only one minute of PT—the McMornings stayed close in the first half and then won in a game that was definitely closer than the final score might indicate. Congratulations!

I knew my lack of rebounding would eventually come back to kill me. Tonight was the night it finally happened. Looking at the matchup ratings (PP100), I should have won going away, but McMornings destroyed me on the boards. You can afford to be less efficient if you grab 30 offensive rebounds!

You can look at my roster now and see what I was working with in the post in terms of rebounding. I'll need to change that up if I am to have any chance of promoting. In my first full season playing -- season 7 -- I set a timeline that had me promoting to the NBBA after Season 14. Still think that's reasonable, but my expenses are growing faster than my revenues.

Good job by the McMornings tonight, but Deronimo will win the finals in three.

Was still definitely a shocker that you didn't win that one. But good luck McMornings represent our conference in the finals and hopefully on to the NBBA, if any team is ready I believe it is yours then.

I was out of town over the weekend, but thanks for the notes & well-wishes. & the "Deronimo in threes." I feel as if there was indeed some luck with the McMornings this year, but also I capitalized on things pretty well, managed my team above their ratings & salaries. But that's for another night's thread.

Good luck to Deronimo; tonight we begin a dance for marbles. All of them.

Has anyone else noticed that That One Team hasn't logged in for 3 1/2 weeks? It would suck to have *another* dead team next season.

Yes, the other of my two "recruits"—The Big Bucks were one—seems to be falling by the wayside. TOG (Robert) just got his MBA—and a new job—so maybe he simply doesn't have the time. OTOH, I think that severe financial problems were making it tough on his team (as they have for many of us)

Agreed. Is it me or did Deronimo have better ratings?

I'd accept losing on getting out rebounded or out schemed. But on fouls? Really?

Well good luck in the NBBA Meridian
